Denon DJ has today announced the Prime 4+, a replacement for its popular Prime 4 standalone DJ controller. While it shares the same basic design and build as its predecessor, the Prime 4+ improves on it in lots of ways…with potentially the biggest feature of all hinted at, but currently under wraps. When the prime 4 was first released I wanted one. All in one mixer, Controller and computer. And the added ability to use it on Virtual DJ 2020 was also a added bonus. As a mobile DJ there will be times I need functions on virtual DJ that the prime doesn't have, so to be able to put it into controller mode was a mega bonus. The new Touch FX turns the 10.1” central screen into a giant X-Y pad for instant tactile interaction with several masterful combinations of effect s.

A mega part of the Engine 3.1 update also means the FX frequency for all of the Main FX can now be adjusted as a parameter , allowing DJs to apply an effect to a focused frequency range.USB, 1x SD and a built-in 2.5" SATA drive slot (for installing a hard disk) for connecting mass storage devices If you care about Virtual DJ, the integration is fantastic, with everything you need to know on the huge screen in real-time also. Serato is also perfect, but I have not used it quite as much. Now sporting a slightly bigger top surface, the 6-inch metal jogs also have assignable colour options and centre HD displays. With effects becoming increasingly used in DJ sets, it’s great to see Denon getting creative with the options on their kit. This device’s unique take on some classic effects encourages DJs to stand out from the crowd!

Well you don't need me to tell you why this controller is amazing. You are thinking about buying it after all. It spanks PioneerDJ into the last century, where their kit belongs.
