Description

The keyboard is comfortable to type on. I did have to get used to the height of the keys. I’m used to a lower-profile keyboard but I still found the RK84 comfortable to type on. The RK84 is stylish and while it has a retro look to it, it’s also modern. The RGB effects are colorful and bright so they add a little special something to my workspace. In addition, the RK71 has a unique 70% form factor that isn’t usually seen on mechanical keyboards. It is very similar to a 65% layout. However, there are even more keys added to the right side of the keyboard. The RK71 is perfect for those who want a more visually striking keyboard and want additional programmable keys without sacrificing the compact size of the keyboard. Royal Kludge RK84 Royal Kludge RK84 The RK920 does not come with hot-swappable switches and does not have any wireless capability. It is pretty much just a basic mechanical keyboard with no additional special features. But overall, it is a perfect upgrade for anyone who wants to try out mechanical keyboards for the first time without having to relearn typing in a smaller form factor. RK Royal Kludge RK925 Royal Kludge RK925 This aside, for this price, I can say without a doubt that this keyboard is a STEAL. A literal blessing for those looking to enter the mechanical keyboard hobbyist space without spending a fortune to dip your toes. White gasket made of metal but I am not sure if it is aluminium or brass.

At the end of the day, Royal Kludge keyboards are entry-level keyboards. They will have their fair share of limitations, and they cannot satisfy consumers looking for a more premium keyboard experience. In this article, we will be further investigating the Royal Kludge brand. We will be having a look at their history and product lineup. And ultimately, we will be helping consumers decide if Royal Kludge keyboards are a good fit for them. Royal Kludge Brand History Hot-swap PCB allows you to replace 3 pins/5 pins switches freely without soldering issues. Enjoy the fun of making your own unique keyboard.

The feel and sound is really good. A personal advice is 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐆𝐎 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐊 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 no matter how much you have to wait… GenesisPC provide you Gat red and yellow pre-lubbed. Get those. I swear you wont regret. (there isn’t really that big of a difference in sound between the two switches I just mentioned but yeah red feels fast cause of the less force to press them.) We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.3, which overhauls how key input is evaluated. We've added new tests for Single Key Latency, Multi Key Latency, Data Transmission, and Chord Split. We've also introduced a new Raw Performance usage and adjusted how the Gaming and Office usage scores are calculated. You can see the full changelog here. But thanks to its 5-pin hot-swappable PCB, users are able to put in almost any switch they want. In terms of its Bluetooth capability, the RK61 is able to connect to up to three devices. In addition, Royal Kludge is one of the only brands that offer a mechanical keyboard model in a variety of different form factors. This means that users will not be limited to smaller form factor keyboards, especially if they prefer having a TKL or a full-sized keyboard. PS: There is enough space for you to do all the mods you want. I went ahead with taping the PCB and placing foam in the case. (Please do this at your own risk. This review is not modding advice from my end)We recently reviewed the Royal Kludge RK87 Wireless TKL Mechanical Keyboard, which we thought was a decent 80% TKL keyboard that’s affordable and compact, offering RGB illumination, 3 onboard Macros, wireless connectivity, and tactile Brown switches. So the RK84 RGB Limited Edition which we’re about to review, should be just as good, if not better. The only FLAW I can see is 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄! 𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐎 𝐁𝐀𝐃! Tbh you wont need it much other than making macros also sometimes when you fast type it doesn’t register keys and you have to type the same thing again…but that might be my unit fault as I have not heard the same from anyone else.
