Lesser Scaups breed in northwestern US states, western Canada, and Alaska before migrating to southern US states, Mexico, and the east and west US coasts. They can be seen during migration across the rest of the US and Canada. Common Eiders have six subspecies, four of which breed in North America and have slight differences between them. One female may lay up to eleven eggs, but the nest may contain up to twenty-six eggs, including those from other females. Incubation lasts only three weeks, and the young immediately head to the water after hatching.

The episode is anchored by the chemistry between Donald and Dennis. Dennis himself is amusing and endearing, one also feels sorry for him later on and he does avoid being annoying (even with his repeated catchphrase), while Donald is suitably hot-headed and just as amusing who realises the consequences of his hostile behaviour later and one admires him for that. Buffleheads breed mainly in Canada before migrating to the US, northern Mexico, and Canada’s Pacific coast. They can be seen during migration in the Midwest and the Appellations. Donald impersonates the comedian Jimmy Durante when he says, "Am I mortified! Am I mortified!" His bill even changes shape to make fun of Durante's famous nose. The joke was not as noticeable in the remake because Donald's bill keeps its shape. Japanese artist Shiro Amano worked with Donald on the graphic novel Kingdom Hearts based on the Disney- Square Enix video game.Lesser Scaups feed primarily on mollusks and clams that they find after diving into the water and sifting through the bottom. They also dabble in the water for plant vegetation like bulrushes, wild celery, wild rice, and pondweeds. Nests of King Eiders are built by the female on the ground near water. They are usually “scrape nests”, or hollowed-out ground lined with grass and feathers from the female herself. She lays two to seven eggs that she incubates for twenty-two to twenty-three days.

King Eiders breed in coastal northern Canada before migrating for winter to the south coast of Alaska and the east coast of Canada, and the coasts of northeastern US states. Andrae, Tom (2006). Carl Barks and the Disney Comic Book: Unmasking the Myth of Modernity. Univ. Press of Mississippi. ISBN 1-57806-857-6. In theaters with The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit. Last short produced by Walt Disney. Edited into The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Since Nash died, Donald's voice has been performed by Disney animator, Tony Anselmo, who was mentored by Nash for the role. [31] Anselmo's first performance as Donald is heard in a 1986 D-TV special, D-TV Valentine on The Disney Channel, and in his first feature film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, in 1988. Donald is something of a prankster, and as a result, he can sometimes come across as a bit of a bully, especially in the way he sometimes treats Chip n' Dale and Huey, Dewey and Louie, his nephews. As the animator Fred Spencer has put it: Hooded Mergansers forage by diving underwater. They catch their prey with their serrated and hooked bill. They will eat aquatic insects, fish, and crustaceans, particularly crayfish. In forested regions, they may eat snails, frogs, aquatic plants, and seeds.
