It outperformed the two family films it most closely followed, DreamWorks' Turbo and Sony's The Smurfs 2, an outcome no one would have predicted at the start of the summer, even if Disney's marketing muscle seemed too mighty to fail. Where Cars would plug in covers from the likes of Rascal Flatts and Sheryl Crow, Planes prominently features original numbers by no-name artists. And yet Planes remains a decidedly direct-to-video adventure, with Hall and company distilling elements of Cars and Cars 2 into a cute, harmless, ultimately unremarkable underdog story most parents have sat through a hundred times before. Planes' Blu-ray's extras begin with the exclusive musical scene "Franz's Song", a deleted sequence finished for this release. I hoped that maybe I was too hard on Planes in theaters and that it wasn't really the worst animated film I've seen in years.

Note: Our refurbished grades - Pristine, Very Good and Good - are solely based on the cosmetic condition of the phone. If there weren't twenty years' worth of CG films that delivered both visual splendor with moving storytelling, this presentation might seem pretty special. When rerouted to Witchita, Neal reluctantly partners with Del Griffith (Candy), an obnoxious yet loveable salesman. While I must reiterate that Planes is not a Pixar film, that is not something clearly conveyed in the marketing. The second, shown in preliminary animation, has Dusty and Ishani enjoy a date in her home nation of India.Producing one of the most popular aviation programs for 25 years, Just Planes create aviation films that explore aircrafts from all around the world. Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) spends most of his days flying low, but his eyes are always turned up toward the clouds. Pretty much the same story but everything including the characters come across as rather one dimensional, such a shame as it really could've been something as special. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. I will definitely be watching this again when we get the Blu-ray so don't be put off like I was, I think many lessons have been learned since Cars, this is 100% better. Planes tells the story of Dusty Crophopper (voiced by Dane Cook), a Propwash Junction crop duster who holds improbable dreams of being an air racer. This spinoff of the beloved Cars films follows Dusty the crop duster, who dreams of flying in a race around the world. Also featuring the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, and Brad Garrett.

It surely can't have hurt the film to make conscious efforts to incorporate locations like India, Nepal, and Germany in addition to tossing bones to flyover country, New York City, and the U.

The rear speakers are quite active as well, with an endless assortment of directional and ambient effects. Things begin to look up for Dusty, however, when a veteran aviator helps him qualify for a race against the reigning circuit champ. With over 25 years experience in creating film and video that explores aircrafts from all around the world, Justplanes DVDs are a truly interesting deep dive into some of the most famous aircrafts. But, the First World War changed all that and by the end of the war in 1918, aviation had proved itself and all countries has burgeoning air forces. Despite lukewarm reviews Planes tuns out to be a very entertaining movie even for adults because of course with most Pixar movies the jokes are plentiful.
