The compact disc ( CD) is a digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. Typically up to 700 MiB (up to 80 minutes audio), 800 MiB (also up to 90 minutes audio), 870 MiB (and up to 99 minutes audio) Q. I have received a prescription for a Schedule 2 CD. The date is missing. Is it acceptable for this to be added by the pharmacist?Electronic Controlled Drug Registers: Pharmacists are allowed legally to keep CDRs electronically (as an alternative to having a bound-book CDs register) if they wish to do so providing they comply with the legislation. The Regulations require that every computerised entry must be attributable and capable of being audited. The computerised register must be accessible from the premises to which it relates and persons authorised by the Secretary of State (e.g., the Society’s inspectors) are able to request that a copy of the register, in its computerised or other specified form, be sent to them. Recording concerns: Pharmacy contractors should record concerns expressed about incidents that involved or may have involved improper management or use of CDs by a pharmacist or member of staff. The record should include the following: Controlled Drug Registers: A Controlled Drugs Register (CDR) must be used to record details of any Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 CDs received or supplied by a registered pharmacy. The 2001 regulations also require that additional information should be recorded in the CDR in relation to the identity of the person collecting a schedule 2 CD supplied on prescription. Compact Disc + Graphics is a special audio compact disc that contains graphics data in addition to the audio data on the disc. The disc can be played on a regular audio CD player, but when played on a special CD+G player, it can output a graphics signal (typically, the CD+G player is hooked up to a television set or a computer monitor); these graphics are almost exclusively used to display lyrics on a television set for karaoke performers to sing along with. The CD+G format takes advantage of the channels R through W. These six bits store the graphics information. Where the person collecting the CDs refuses to provide their details (e.g. the name to record in the PMR or not signing the reverse of the form/token), pharmacists may apply their discretion on whether or not to supply the CDs.

In Spin magazine, Ted Friedman regarded the album as "impressive", [19] while Entertainment Weekly called it "irresistibly tuneful". [13] For more than 15 years, Ayrshire & Arran Health Board has benefited from hospital electronic prescribing and medicines administration software (HEPMA). This allows users to electronically prescribe and administer medicines to inpatients. Among many of the benefits of this resource, is its paper-lite nature and ability to access the system remotely. To make the switch from paper CD register to PharmCD as simple as possible, we have designed these free template CD SOPs for pharmacies and dispensing doctors to use. These SOPs cover how to use PharmCD to comply with CD record keeping obligations, including receiving, supplying and destroying medication.Pohlmann, Ken C. (1989).
