We were not meant to be together… then a dark twist of fate stepped in, and we're the ones who will pay for it. Due to the fact the hero meets the heroine in a BDSM SEX CLUB (don’t care that she was a virgin, I don’t want my heroines wallowing in a sewer) AND there’s waaaayyyyy too much info on hero’s past with OW who he used to fuck at the sex club, apparently without a condom because he got her pregnant, it’s gonna be a no for me, dawg.anonymous (mostly) pen pals for two years who accidentally meet one night and thus ensues a very sweet, and surprisingly spicy little love story. Overall the book was great, a solid good dark romance, but the writing style can be a huge hit or miss for sure. At times I liked these overly poetic and descriptive passages, but overall there were a bit too many of them. Overall, I loved Zeno and Darla - especially Zeno's filthy ass mouth - and I would absolutely recommend this book if you're into moderately dark romance novels with an alpha male who falls hard and fast for you and would burn the entire world down for the love of his life. The De la Croix mafia world was enchanting, and I’m looking forward to seeing this hopefully built upon in future books.

This book definitely earned another point purely for the appearances of the side characters that i have fallen in love with from Marzy’s other books, and mentions of much loved characters such as Ella and Cade from Trapped With You (Book One) and even my favourites Sam and Anna from Everything We Ever Wanted (Wattpad). He allows her to be completely, honestly, her without fear of being disappointing and makes a home for himself in her kind, spring-floral heart.
