Tweed features quite heavily. How did you approach your look for the series? It's obviously quite a departure from Strictly and the sequins. As far as possible. Money is money, the prize is a bonus but it's certainly not the reason why I want to win. Aside from that, the self-satisfaction at the end. Realising I’m so good at lying and cheating... I'd have to have a real think about the kind of person I am! I’m quite driven for the things I want. I'd like to win very much, and I don't mind banishing people at all. Although if I don't win, it’s not the end of the world. I think I've got to live the experience to the max and with the maximum of my ability. I genuinely think that I'll bring a fresh perspective. I always expect people to tell me the truth. This is essentially what this game is going to be about. I don't know what the percentage of Traitors to Faithfuls is going to be, but I will be suspicious. I will assume statistically that people are being genuine, and then look for evidence that they're not, that's kind of how I do life. Following the premise of other versions of De Verraders, the show features a group of contestants participating in a game similar to the party game Mafia as they stay in a historic luxury hotel. During their stay, a small group of contestants become the titular "Traitors," and must work together to eliminate the other contestants to win a grand prize, while the remaining contestants become "Faithful" and are tasked to discover and banish the Traitors by voting them out, to win the grand prize.Only if it doesn’t compromise my morals. That's it. If I sit down and there’s something that I wouldn't be happy about if I did it myself, then that's how far I would go. I would definitely lie to protect a friend, but I wouldn't compromise my principles. Probably the missions. When am I ever, ever going to do those again? The way things were organised, you’d never be able to experience that elsewhere – zipping along in a speedboat by Inverness, being in a helicopter, being on a big fairground wheel. All the things that we’ve done have been once-in-a-lifetime moments and I got to experience all of that in the safety and organisation of this amazing production. It’s just been such a fantastic experience. I couldn’t even pinpoint one mission. They’ve all been the best because they’ve all been things I’ve never done in my entire life. It’s just amazing.

U.K., U.S. & Australian Versions of "The Traitors" Now Streaming on Crave | Memorable TV – Episodes, News & More". 9 April 2023. Amanda says: "I've always liked watching reality TV, but they're always geared towards the younger generation. When I was 20, or 25, there weren't that many reality TV shows out there. That was something that appealed to me, as well as the logic behind the game, the secrecy. I think I can read people very well, so I really fancied having a go. I've been an estate agent for many, many years. I think I can bring good personality and I think I'd be a good ambassador for 50-plus-year-old women to get out there and show that we can still be active and get into reality TV shows. I like to call myself a Glam Ma, rather than a Grandma. Plus, I've met thousands of people through my career and I'm pretty good at reading between the lines of people. I do have a game plan. I'm going to think of it as a sales venture so I'm not going to get over friendly with anybody and think of this as a work challenge. I've always brought my children up to do 100 percent. If you really try 100 percent in anything, whether it be physical or mental and you don't win, then you know you've done your best. You're not letting yourself down." I’ll bring a different insight because I see the world differently. I have dwarfism. So, in that sense, my different view of situations and a different perspective. And, I can bring my personality! Yes, I do. I have a strong nine-point plan. I have zero confidence that it's going to work because at base, this game is chaos. You cannot control it and there is no winning strategy.A lot of the time, it takes a manipulator to know a manipulator. I'm good at reading people as well as understanding everyone has a hidden agenda. My dad is a very suspicious person, and that’s definitely something I got from him. I think my game plan would be getting to know everyone and making people trust me and building a relationship, making it much easier to tell when they're lying. If you are a Faithful, what qualities do you think you have that will get you through to the final?

Claire says: "In my working life, my ex-career being policing and my new career founding my own business, I'm used to reading people quite well. Sometimes without them even speaking I've already read them and usually nine times out of ten, I'm right. I've been a mum since I was quite young so predominantly, I've never had the time to do anything just for me. This was a brilliant opportunity and a show I'd be really good at, a chance for me to test and challenge myself. To see how far I can push myself when I'm not being a mum, when I'm not working, when I'm not doing all of the Cinderella things that come with being a parent and a brand builder, and all of those things." Meryl says: "The fact that it's brand new interested me the most. The fact that it's the first time it will be filmed in the UK, there is nothing that people can compare it to and I can make my mark on it. It sounds like a really good experience, especially up in the Scottish Highlands as I live in Scotland. I really like the idea of Traitors, the fact that you have to suss out who's lying. I thought it'd be a really, really good experience and something new to try and that’s why I'm going to go for it. I’ll bring a different insight because I see the world differently. I have dwarfism. So, in that sense, my different view of situations and a different perspective. And, I can bring my personality!" Knox, David (23 August 2023). "Tuesday 22 August 2023". TV Tonight. TV Tonight . Retrieved 27 October 2023. In a reality genre where the major franchises are looking distinctly dog-eared, The Traitors has proved the most compelling new format in years. Its mind games recalled the early days of The Apprentice, The Weakest Link or Big Brother. Outward bound tasks were I’m a Celebrity via The Krypton Factor. The atmospheric setting was Hogwarts meets an Agatha Christie country-house mystery. Diverse casting made it a melting pot of strong, refreshingly normal characters. Puppet-master Winkleman, familiar as the kohl-eyed class clown to Tess Daly’s straight man on Strictly, relished the chance to stalk around in tailored tweeds and statement knitwear, like a mischievous lady of the manor. I’ll bring some lightness and I'll bring some humour, I’m hoping to otherwise I'm definitely on the wrong career path! I’m hoping to surprise people. I’ll be so involved, I'm not going to play it half-heartedly, I want to get as far as I possibly can.

I’ll be so nervous, I’ll be stressing out because I know I'm not a good liar and I wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm quite an easy person to read, I'm a salesperson's dream – they can sell anything to me. If I was a Traitor I would have to convince myself that I'm not, but I don’t know how far I’d get. If I was a Faithful, I'd probably progress a lot better. Following Lewis' Banishment, the Final 3 participated in the end game and were given a choice to either Vote or Share – The Vote option would result in another Banishment Vote, while the Share would either – 1) declare all remaining Traitors as winners, or 2) Should there be no Traitors remaining, declare all remaining players as Winning Faithfuls. In either outcome, the prize would be shared among the winners.I'm an ex-basketball player, I've travelled to different countries involved with basketball, I was a part of the 2012 Olympic team with the Australians. You have to have a bit of integrity, working with those high-level professionals, but because I was a basketball player you have to have a poker face. When you’re out there, whether you're winning or losing, your opposition cannot know what you’re thinking.
