Description

It’s a great all-rounder, with well-integrated acidity, velvety smooth bubbles and juicy red berries. It has subtle aromas of just baked brioche and summer flowers, and it's as gorgeous on its own as it is with smoked salmon and canapes at a party. Full-bodied with redcurrant and raspberry, this one’s underscored with a rich, well-rounded nuttiness on the finish. This weighty, full-flavoured fizz has been aged for twice as long as is legally required, to bring out the brand’s trademark pastry notes. This rosé version builds on the brand’s rich brioche base, while introducing red berries and a touch of stone fruit.

It might not be as well-known as say, Moët, but seek this out and you’ll soon see what all the fuss is about.Today, it accounts for 10 per cent of champagne exports, and any snobbishness surrounding it is dissipating. If you find one with a particularly high level of acidity, this can be balanced out with something high in fat, like duck. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it to be accurate, it is not a substitute for reading the product packaging and label prior to use. This rosé is part of the same Louis Roederer’s family, and although it’s the less flashy of the two, it’s just as ballsy.

Unlike still rosé wine, which uses the ‘skin contact’ method (where grape skins are left in contact with the juice for a short period, to impart colour and flavour), Champagne is the only region within the EU that is legally allowed to blend white and red wine to create a blush. So whether you’re celebrating something special, or just fancy treating yourself, these are the best rosé champagne for summer picnics, long weekends, and any bougie occasion you fancy celebrating. It’s a well-balanced drop, combining rich biscuit notes with tart red fruit and apple, wrapped up in a smooth finish. Part of the new RSRV range by Maison Mumm — an exclusive for The Whisky Exchange — Rosé Foujita is a blend of six grand cru terroirs, combining chardonnay, pinot noir and reserve red wine.Stacey is our Senior Food and Drink Editor, looking after all food and drink reviews — from coffee pods and veg boxes, to natural wine and tequila. You get a sparkly mouthful of ripe strawberries with a definite hint of rose and a creamy, almost biscuity aroma that we can only describe as elegant. The quality of its wines expresses the extent and diversity of its fabulous vineyard estate, the largest in Champagne, consisting predominantly of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards.
