La Plante was welcomed into the Crime-Thriller-Awards Hall-of-Fame in 2009, and later given an Honorary-Fellowship with the Forensic-Science-Society because of the amount of accuracy that she uses in portraying forensic-science in her work. He’s an interesting character, flawed, dedicated and demanding but this makes him feel all the more relatable.Outside the main plot, we also see a bit more of Jack and his home life, as well as his relationships with others, giving him a more rounded personality.
