Fans of Dark Fantasy and Romance will undoubtedly enjoy this book, a fantastic addition to the Cat and Mouse Duet series. Please don’t misunderstand me - I understand that the consequences of what she went through are horrible and that this isn’t something one can simply shrug off, but for my own reasons I don’t think I can quite handle reading that last half if it’s only focused on Addie healing from her ordeal and Z killing more pedos and human traffickers. And I believe I came out of the other side with something beautiful - a little jagged and imperfect, but beautiful all the same. This book will be much more enjoyable to those who enjoy majority of a thriller element than romance.What Addie went through was hard to even imagine and reading it so explicitly made me hurt for those who had to deal with it for real. Following the events of the first book, “Haunting Adeline,” this installment takes readers on a thrilling journey where the stakes are higher, and the dangers are more ominous.
