Description

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is a 10.1-inch Android-based tablet computer produced and marketed by Samsung Electronics. It belongs to the mid-range "A" series, which also includes 7, and in the past, 8 and 9.7-inch models. It was released in May 2016; [1] [2] the S-Pen (stylus) version was released in September 2016. [3] [4]A refreshed version of the tablet would later be released in 2019, with some aspects, such as the battery, being reduced, while other components were upgraded. Tablets don't get updates forever, though, and depending on the brand, the length of support period can be anywhere from one to six years or more. All Samsung tablets use the Google Android operating system, much the same as you'd find on a Samsung phone. It means you have access to an enormous range of apps. Below, we take you through what you can expect to pay for a Samsung Galaxy tablet, and reveal the top scorers.

We'll see new tablets from Samsung and Apple in 2023. It's been a few years since an iPad Mini revamp, so that's a likely candidate and we may see a refresh of some of Samsung's cheaper A range tablets. There’s a wide variety of Samsung Galaxy tablets on the market right now, all made in different years, sold at different prices and for completely different types of buyers. In other words, if you’re here to get clarity on Samsung Galaxy Tabs, you're not alone. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, customized with TouchWiz software and Samsung apps such as S Planner, WatchON, Smart Stay, Multi-Window, Group Play, and the S-Pen suite for the S-Pen version.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A has a 6250mAh battery, and uses a USB-C connector to charge. Samsung says the battery will last up to 13 hours, and that claim is fairly close to my experience.Selfies predictably look quite soft in indoors lighting, and aren’t great in any conditions. But both of these cameras are frankly significantly better than I expected. I wouldn’t call them “good”, though, as they are slow to use. The camera app takes a long time to load up and the app feels a little laggy. The only consideration you should make is whether you’ll prefer a tablet running the Android operating system instead of Apple iOS. If you have an iPhone, for example, you might find an iPad more useful. iPads and iPhones work together, letting you keep your apps, files and messages synchronised across devices. A new version of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 was announced in February 2019, with Android 9 Pie (upgradable to Android 11), the Exynos 7904 chipset and an IPS display with unchanged resolution. The rear flash is removed, S-Pen support is dropped and the battery is smaller, while the front camera is upgraded to 5 MP and the speakers are now stereo. [6] See also [ edit ] The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is available in WiFi-only and 4G/ LTE& Wi-Fi variants. It has a 10.1-inch PLS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. It also has a 2 MP front camera without flash and a rear-facing 8.0 MP F1.9 AF camera with flash. It has various camera modes like Sports, Beauty, HDR, Auto, Night, Continuous Shot, Pro mode and Panorama.
