This causes her to terrorize the demon race for three years until Bash, who is also the one that killed "Bones", defeats her and makes her give up on her revenge by indirectly teaching her the concept of honor, which makes her realize that even in death "Bones"'s legacy still lives on as a proud warrior who fought till the end with Bash receiving honor by killing him.

Succubus territory could be considered the inversion of this, as (most of the time) the only men there are kept as food. It wasn't until recently that the succubi even gave their captives decent living conditions. What Measure Is a Non-Human?: All twelve races are sentient with their own kind of culture yet depending on race or individual, some of them are seen as just monsters, animals, or even commodities in the cases of fairies.

With the usual tendencies of orcs in this setting, everyone expected her to be raped, but Bash let her go (at this time, he was more focused on fighting and surviving). Magonote penned the story of " The Conquest of the Dragon King" (which was later published as an extension story of Mushoku Tensei) three years prior to starting the official main story. I just wanted to read about a socially awkward orc who is badass on the battle field but a dumbass with women. A himbo orc. Or at least shenanigans. In this book, the law IS morality. Following a code or set of rules is what makes someone noble, regardless of what those rules are. Criminals are portrayed as worthless scum and the rule-following orc characters (all of whom, except for our main character have raped women) are portrayed as noble. Eventhough it starts pretty generic in the beginning with a huge lore dump, the concepts itself are allready pretty interesting. As I allready mentioned the 12 races of Vestonia we involved in a war which lasted 3000 years. In this war two groups fought against each other. The Coallition of Seven and the Alliance of Four. The Coallition consists of the orcs, orgres, harpies, succubi, lizzardmen, demons, and faeries. While not all Members of the Alliance of Four are known, we know that the humans, elfs and dwarfs are part of it. The two factions and the reminded me a bit of the alliances in The Elder Scrolls, so for anybody who is a fan of that franchise should find enjoyment in this aspect. Each race has its own unique culture and customs and this far it seems that each race is going to be fleshed out in its own sepperate volume, starting with the Orcs and Humans in volume one, the elfs in volume two, and the dwarfs in volume three. Listen that makes zero sense. And I can't believe that I got so heated over this. Your whole culture is based on procreating with other species. You get these women by conquest. But everything I got to know about this world is that they mostly took female soldiers because the orcs spend their time mostly on the battlefield. So female warriors are normal in this world. So why the whole 'despite the limitations of her sex'? That's just dumb. That's shitty worldbuilding. Orcs shouldn't have this view on women. Not when they fight against them all the time. Plus the men also fall like flies before them so no sexism there. Get out with your shitty worldbuilding It's also actively encouraged by the elves, to replenish their population after the war. In particular, Acconitum, an elf army official, has an Arranged Marriage with one of the beastkin princesses to improve the alliance between their races. One-Man Army: During the war 90 percent of the humans and elves that faced Bash perished, while the remaining 10 percent remained traumatised for life. Orc territory, since for a long time the all-male orcs abducted women to rape and impregnate. While (law-abiding) orcs limit themselves to female criminals given to them by other races, it's still very unusual to find any women there willingly.

Breeding Slave: Orcs habitually took female prisoners as sex slaves during the war because they're a One-Gender Race that must reproduce using females of other species. One of the concessions of the peace treaty with the victorious human-led alliance is that the humans provide the orcs with female prison inmates to breed with so that their species doesn't die out.The title of "Orc Hero" is gifted to the strongest orc, which in this case is the protagonist Bash with only a few people in the world capable of matching him in combat. Irony: The demon race is known for their arrogance due to seeing themselves as superior to other races. After the war ended, they were threatened by a dragon far more powerful than them and only seeing them as no different than any other race they looked down upon. I will finish it because it was too expensive not to and also I want to be fully justified in giving it 1 star. And I do think it will be 1 star. Nothing can safe this. And the way we learn about stuff... It's one info dump after another. That can be a translation error but I suspect some really shitty writing.

Dramatic Irony: Everyone believes that Bash raped many women during the war, but in actuality, he is a virgin without any experience. Accidental Hero: Bash's only real goal is to find a wife, yet this leads him around the world and causes him to solve many problems. Similarly Thunder Sonia also went out on a journey to get a husband, yet just like Bash she ends up solving problems her race causes to others. Sex Signals Death: The manga prologue shows two orcs being killed due to them trying to take the women they were raping with them, instead of immediately fleeing their killers. Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Four Race Alliance has this trouble since even in peacetime the races have trouble getting along till a point their leaders outright know they won't become allies again if another war were to break out. This was dumb. And not like 'The Scorpion King' dumb, which is still enjoyable. Just dumb. I can't see how anyone could enjoy this. Normally I don't like yukking on someone's yum but in this case... I don't even feel bad about it.

Statistics

The thing is I've read about rapey orcs before! And although I didn't enjoyed that story at least things made sense and I could see why other people would enjoy that story. Foregone Conclusion: The Volume 1 epilogue states that Bash will survive his journey and somehow create true peace in the world, although it does not mention anything about his relationship status. Gave Up Too Soon: In some volumes, Bash actually does manage to attract a woman, but he leaves before they can confess to him due to them rejecting him earlier.
