About this deal

outright, but I would say for those interested in a purely intellectual enterprise, it's kind of interesting to see this version looking like it was captured T2: Reprogramming The Terminator documentary (including exclusive interviews with James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Edward Furlong and many more) – 55 mins The whole deal with Cameron, this movie, The Abyss and True Lies is genuinely approaching levels of bizarre. For all the criticisms many have long since lobbed at Lucas for his (alleged) insecurities and neuroses with the constant retooling of all things Star Wars on home video, one could never accuse him of neglect or outright disavowment. Maybe he obsessed over those movie too much his own but they always mattered to him at least. I can't for the life of me figure where Cameron's headspace is with the films in question. The boxsets all include the film's 3D Blu-ray presentation, Theatrical, Special Edition and Extended Special Edition cuts on Full HD BD, and feature new artwork (pictured below) from designer Tracie Ching.

Members of Cast and Crew Commentary actually lists a number that's a few less than on the original release, but I frankly haven't Matching the colour scheme and variation of screen grabs this artwork is phenomenal! Inside is just as promising as the outside, including 3D bluray these discs hold a promising viewing of the movie. Kids (and cats) are often known for wanting to play more with the boxes stuff comes in rather than what's in the box, and in that sameTwo-and-a-half decades since its release, T2 hasn't lost its ability to thrill. The plot still intrigues, the occasional gags still raise a smile and the T1000 still terrifies. At the same time, the fact that it softened its edges to get a ‘15' rating irks, and James Cameron's direction can at times feel oddly passive, despite the destruction happening onscreen. It's safe to say 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day caused a stir when it landed in cinemas, flaunting a massive budget and groundbreaking CGI. The resulting audience stampede saw it challenge box office records, cement James Cameron's status as Hollywood royalty and have it crowned by some as that rarest of things – a sequel superior to its forebear.

We're all in for a proper filmic transfer but that's one helluva nasty looking COVID designed set I'll not be going near it.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day Ultra HD Blu-ray review

well, but I saw no really outrageous signs of haloing or other phenomena that would suggest overly aggressive digital tweaking in that particular Day Blu-ray review for a thorough plot summary. I will mention only in passing, though, that if I were to participate in the STUDIOCANALtoday announcethree new special editions of TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAYin celebration of the 30 thAnniversary of James Cameron’sAcademy Award® winning Sci-Fi thriller which cemented Arnold Schwarzenegger’sstatus as action royalty, and created a new archetype for action heroines in Linda Hamilton’srole as Sarah Connor. Do you have a preferred release - or are you waiting for someone to release this movie again and hope for the best? The first Blu-ray release that Marty reviewed years ago didn't even have lossless audio ( this later release does), so fans perhaps have something to be thankful for on this new version, since

Note that the German audio is DTS-HD MA 7.1. So if you're bilingual, maybe this is the one for you. Terminator 2: Judgment Day was released for the first time on July 3rd, 1991 in the United States, and in December 2021 Terminator Fans will be able to own collector’s editions of the movie which will also include the 3D 2017 restoration which was overseen by series creator James Cameron. Conclusion

than to say (with tongue planted somewhat firmly in cheek) that this is not your father's Terminator 2: Judgment Day, at least in terms For this latest comparison video, we'll be comparing the 2006 Blu-ray, the 2009 Skynet Edition Blu-ray, the 2015 remastered Blu-ray, and the very controversial 2017 4K UHD Blu-ray that used the 3-D master. For best results, watch this video on a full 4K 2160p screen. The dearly beloved action sci-fi sequel finally lands on Ultra HD in the U.S. with the identical HEVC H.265 encode seen in the European release by Studio Canal. Literally, this is the exact same copy with an identical menu screen and the same white-text screen at the start informing viewers that the French-based studio conducted the 3D remaster. And since James Cameron reportedly supervised and approved this new 4K digital intermediate, this means fans must endure the same overzealous tinkering and digital manipulation. As mentioned in my review of the U.K. import, the DNR may not be Predatorlevels of atrocity, but it is nonetheless bad and disheartening for an action classic, and there are also several instances of aliasing and moiré effects along the sharpest edges and in light fixtures. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 4K Blu-ray offers decent video and superb audio in this enjoyable Blu-ray release
