At the end of the day Tension is just an extremely average game. There is nothing terribly wrong with the game but it also doesn’t really do anything original either. It is pretty much the most basic speed game that you could ever find. You can have some fun with the game but it is a game that hasn’t aged particularly well. The game is fine as a very basic speed game but there have been many better speed games created since Tension was released. Designers have found ways to improve on everything that Tension has to offer where I don’t know if it really pays to play what is now an inferior speed game. I quite like games like this as an alternative to a ‘proper’ game in a long game day.There was often some kind of Lateral thought such as ‘Things that Fly’ had an answer of ‘Time’. But with the latter, I think, you have EVERYTHING from that category to list from. In Tension, you could give a correct answer, but it might not be on the card.Tension is played in rounds. Each round begins with one of the players spinning the Spin-O-Matic in the middle of the gameboard. When it stops spinning it will rest on one color. The color that is showing is the color for that round. Tension truly is a hidden gem of a family quiz game. It’s consistently gripping from start to finish and keeps players engrossed throughout. Furthermore, the top 10 fun doesn’t have to stop with the base game, as there are multiple expansions that can be added for more list themed fun! Covering topics like foods, brands, clothing, inventors, films and sports, there’s a great breadth of topic to ponder over. Some serious and some more fun. It's always an excellent service with brilliant products at a very competitive price - will use again! Tension is a game that has aged well, and in the simple rules there is a trivia gem. A game that can be enjoyed by all ages and doesn’t outstay it’s welcome.
