In 2010, during another lunch break, Gene is approached by the taxi driver, Jeff, and his friend Buddy. Jeff reveals he recognized Gene as Saul Goodman from when he previously lived in Albuquerque. Gene admits he is living with a secret identity. A comedy-drama about the sex lives of a group of teenagers could have come across as exploitative and crass. But Sex Education feels anything but. While the humour is bawdy and the sex scenes graphic, the series as a whole is exceedingly sweet, charming and generous. Full of wonderfully complex characters and relationships, it’s a genuinely involving and entertaining look at love, life and identity, with a fast-moving plot that makes it easy to binge.
