About this deal

We’re here on the final day, and to close us off, we have an exclusive Christmas Sweater Drax pop out of Day 24’s window! Day 8 is a bit of a nothingburger, even if it’s reasonable festive. We get a complete LEGO Turkey, a stand/table, and some flames to roast it.

LEGO: Available from September 1, 2022 — LEGO Marvel 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar build — Behind each of the 24 windows of the calendar hides a different gift of figurines, objects and accessories: drone , a blaster, the spaceship of the Guardians, a snowman… + 268 Lego pieces! I felt a little bad, my 8-year-old was hesitant and embarrassed to show me what piece was in his GOTG today. Take a walk down memory lane and relive the 2021 LEGO Marvel Avengers Advent Calendar to see what we got last year! Even the 3-day ship feels like it should’ve been kept to 2 days at the max, but this has been quite poor, especially when you compare it against the Star Wars, Harry Potter and even Friends Advent Calendars which have largely been excellent.Day 15 is a Candy Cane. That’s it. A large Candy Cane decoration. I guess it’s Christmas after all, and there blow-up Candy Cane decorations in the GOTG Holiday Special, but this could pop out of the City or LEGO Friends Advent Calendar, and it wouldn’t be out of place at all. Many modern Lego instructions include a part list at the end of the booklet. In the case of multiple booklets the list might be found in the middle of the PDF. daily treats – Behind each door of the LEGO® Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar (76231) is a gift to inspire creative building and imaginative play Pre-Christmas treat – With 24 days of surprise gifts, this Advent calendar provides any young Super Hero aged 6 and up with imaginative fun that lasts for months

Day 11 is a nice nod to these historical LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy sets, but their simplistic designs does leave much to be desired. At least we got 2 of them in one window, and I’m glad they weren’t stretched out across 2 days, which would’ve been tragic. Unfortunately, my calendar was mixed up with the wrong pieces and sets in nearly every window of the calendar which caused me to have to build the whole thing on the first night. With no spoilers, I’ll say this is maybe the most unique advent we’ve ever seen in regard to theme and builds. I’ll let everyone determine on their own if that’s a good thing or not. And that’s it for the Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar! To be honest, I’m mostly disappointed by the Calendar, mostly because of strings of forgettable days and builds, with items that were a stretch to connect to Christmas, the Guardians of the Galaxy or even the Holiday Special. You’ve probably noticed that one member of the team wasn’t listed in that line-up, as Gamora is missing from 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar following the events of Avengers: Endgame. If anything, it’s the only downside of this calendar taking inspiration from the MCU, in which the current version of Gamora has no memory of the Guardians. As predicted, Day 20’s build is this Wearable Christmas Tree, perfect to turn Groot into festive holiday mode!Typically, when you buy a LEGO set, the box it comes in is purely functional and serves no purpose other than to store the build. But with the LEGO Advent calendars, this is not the case. I cannot stress this enough: Do not open the box from its sides, and do not tear the box, because the box itself is the Advent calendar. There's a large cardboard flap covering the broad side of the box, and underneath it are 24 perforated "doors." Each door leads to a separate compartment within the box, and inside each compartment is a small plastic bag filled with LEGO pieces–1 of 24 miniature builds based on a theme. On Day 2 of the GOTG Advent Calendar, we get some gifts for Star-Lord, a wrapped present and a new walkman as well!

The minifigures and mini builds in the LEGO Marvel Studio's Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar 2022 are compatible with all other LEGO Marvel building toys, allowing kids to enjoy the fun Christmas presents all year round. Eh, Day 13 gives us yet another forgettable build with this Table of Food and Drinks. It’s honestly so boring, and unlike other builds, there’s nothing “Guardians of the Galaxy” about this build. Despite giving a daily recap of each of the LEGO® Advent Calendars for the last few years, I’ve never actually reviewed one, until now. Last year, the long-running LEGO Advent Calendars range expanded to include a Marvel-themed one. It was focused on the Avengers and featured a mix of minibuilds and minifigures inspired by Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. This year’s offer is a little more intergalactic and is inspired by the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Disney+ Holiday Special. The exact story of this small screen spin-off is currently unknown but it’s safe to assume it will be at least a little festive. Theme: LEGO Marvel Set name: 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar Release: September 1, 2022Not bad from Day 10, and with so many cool and unique spaceship designs to draw from, I sure hope this won’t be the last micro-build we see! Mini build models – Buildable play experiences include a drone, a blaster, the Guardians’ spaceship, a snowman in Thanos’s armor and lots more LEGO® Marvel™ Super Heroes: Universe in Peril features an original story spanning the entire Marvel Universe. LEGO Marvel 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar launches alongside four other seasonal sets in 75340 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, 76404 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar, 60352 LEGO CITY Advent Calendar and 41706 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar. No matter your interest, that line-up should have something for everyone to enjoy over the holiday season. The original LEGO 76021 The Milano Spaceship Rescue is one of my favourite sets ever, and I still have the ship on display since 2014, so here’s a side by side with the full-sized Milano.

The daily treats in this advent calendar also include a drone, a blaster, the Guardians’ spaceship, a snowman in Thanos’s armour and more toys As always, the instruction of each day’s builds are printed on the inside of the doors, so be careful and try not to rip them out! So far, we have 4 minifigures in the GOTG calendar, 3 of which have come from 76913 The Guardians’ Ship, which may or may not be a good thing, depending of course if you have the set or not. We FINALLY get a decent build out of the GOTG Advent Calendar with Day 18’s sensational Milano Spaceship.Following 2021’s excellent Marvel/Avengers-themed Advent Calendar, we’re getting a Guardians of the Galaxy-theme Advent Calendar, featuring characters and settings from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. LEGO’s new Modular Natural History Museum (10326) will be available in December instead of January 2024!
