About this deal

Dogmata -The new ‘Chaplain’ type unit with access to the new Hymns of Battle. In addition, the Dogmata allows a nearby unit to perform an action and still Shoot and can bestow the Objective Secured rule on target unit too! If that unit already has the Objective Secured rule, each model in that unit counts as 2 models. A useful ability in an army with only 1 Troops choice. Space Marine Adventures ( Rise of the Orks • Doomsday Countdown) • Fireteam • Kill Team • Combat Arena: Clash of Champions • Boarding Actions Blade of Admonition - This blessed power sword is the very blade carried into battle by Alicia Dominica -- the founding saint of the Adepta Sororitas -- and was famously used to cut the head from the arch-traitor Goge Vandire and bring an end to the Reign of Blood. Saint Dominica wielded this blade in the decades following the reformation of the Ecclesiarchy, and a thousand more false prophets and heretics were slain upon its razor edge before Alicia's eventual martydom. The silver blade was recovered and polished to a mirror finish, and it is said that one who looks upon it can see the reflection of their own soul. Those who wield the sword cannot therefore fail to compare their worthiness to that of Saint Dominica and so strive to emulate her peerless example. If your army is Battle-forged and includes any ADEPTA SORORITAS Detachments (excluding Auxiliary Support, Super-heavy Auxiliary and Fortification Network Detachments), then when you are mustering your army, you can upgrade any CANONESS or PALATINE models in your army by giving them one Blessing of the Faithful, chosen from those presented here.

I really like the Blessings of the Faithful rules, it’s an interesting way of including new gameplay mechanics or special abilities into your army building and there are some impressive combos that you can create especially with some of the new melee focusses units the Adepta Sororitas now have access to. Acts of Faith Early in his tyrannical rule, Vandire's agent sent him word of a unique sisterhood of warrior-women living on the little known Agri-world of San Leor. Hearing of their ascetic way of life, their utter dedication to the Emperor, and in particular their skills at arms, Vandire decided that he would make a formal visit to the secluded convent of the "Daughters of the Emperor." It will come as no surprise that and army of the Adpeta Sororitas get access to a handful of tailored secondary objectives. Through the prayers of the faithful is the Emperor’s will made manifest.Once per phase, one unit from your army with this ability can perform one Act of Faith. To do so, you will use Miracle dice. However this is clearly contradicted by the graphic novel, Daemonifuge, in which a Sister was seduced by a Navigator (who had been corrupted by a daemonic servant of Slaanesh) and several Sisters were completely corrupted by a Keeper of Secrets, a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh. In the novel Cain's Last Stand, it is also stated that an entire Mission of Sisters were seen engaging Imperial forces alongside Chaos Cultists and Cain was also confronted by two Sisters under daemonic influence. Those Sisters, however, were suffering from mind control and when these two were freed, they immediately killed themselves.Defend the Shrine is a “Battlefield Supremacy” secondary that is a bit risky. After deployment you choose an objective outside of your deployment zone as a Shrine. You gain 3 points a turn for holding that objective and additional 3 if you end the game controlling it. If the opponent controls it however you’ll lose 3 victory points. A Miracle dice is not a modifier or an inherently modified dice (so, for example, if you use a Miracle dice with a value of 1 for a Morale test, that is considered to be an unmodified roll of 1). A Miracle dice that has been used for a substitution can never be re-rolled. This means that if any re-rolls occur, the number and values of any Miracle dice that have already been substituted in the dice roll remain the same for the re-roll (for example, if a single Miracle dice was used to substitute one of the values of a charge roll, and the charge roll was re-rolled, only the unsubstituted dice can be re-rolled).

Much like previous codexes, players will be able to pay for the specific upgrade to a unit they want. For a nominal boost in points these units will gain access to specific blessings. Now, the blessings themselves are also two-part extensions of their rules. The first part of the blessing is an “always on” ability. The second is only used when spending a Miracle die. Also, depending on the value of the Miracle die, the range of the ability may also be extended. But for now, let’s get a look at an example blessing:

The Adepta Sororitas, colloquially called the " Sisterhood," whose military arm is also known as the Sisters of Battle and formerly as the Daughters of the Emperor, are an all-female division of the Imperium of Man's state church known as the Ecclesiarchy or, more formally, as the Adeptus Ministorum. The most durable infantry unit in the Adepta Sororitas is the Celestian Sacresants . They are down to 3+ save, and all the melee weapons lost a point of Strength and AP. Their ability Sworn Protectors, gives the unit -1 to be wounded if it is led by a Canoness, Palatine, or Junith Eruita. There are a couple ways to go with this unit, you definitely want one of those 3 characters in this unit, because -1 to wound is strong on a unit that generally is wounded on 2s and 3s. So that is a durability boost which means you either want to lean more into durability with a leader (Junith) or add some damage potential with the other 2 choices. Imo the play is to put a Palatine in this unit, to give it LETHAL HITS, which greatly helps the chances of wounding everything, especially T10+ models. An interesting side note here is that the regular “Celestians” unit is just completely gone – which makes sense since they struggled to have much of a role between Battle Sisters as line infantry and Sacresants as elites which did something genuinely different, but is pretty weird nonetheless.
