I realize I won't be doing much observing near the horizon, but there may be the odd occasion to be near that, so I'm trying to figure out a strategy to comfortably allow viewing in most orientations of the scope.

If durability is something you’re looking for in a chair that will satisfy all your needs when it comes to observing the stars, then the Starbound Astronomy Viewing Chair should be on the top of your list.Since telescopes require regular adjustment, you’ll want a chair that’s adjustable as well. An astro chair with little to no adjustment capability is about as useful as a fixed telescope!
