In 1984 Raymond fulfilled a personal vision when he opened Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton. A stunning hotel and restaurant in harmony, today, Belmond Le Manoir is the only UK country house hotel to have retained two Michelin stars for the past 32 years. It is also home to the acclaimed Raymond Blanc Cookery School, welcoming keen cooking enthusiasts from around the world.

Wet Ingredients: Mix together almond butter, maple syrup, melted ghee or coconut oil, ground cardamom, vanilla and salt. Roughly chop and add the almonds to a large baking tray with the oats and seeds. Spread them out into an even layer and place in the hot oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden, stirring halfway through. Step 1 Preheat oven to 400°. Grease a 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Line with parchment paper and grease parchment. Dried Coconut Flakes: Choose the unsweetened version. You can easily find these at most grocery stores. Bob's red mill is one of the brands I use.Dried fruit:Try adding chopped dried fruit such as apricots, cranberries, figs or cherries, but you may need to increase the amount of almond butter. Chopped dried fruit: C herries, apricots, prunes, dates, freeze-dried raspberries, freeze-dried strawberries, mango, papaya Chill or Bake: Chill in the refrigerator for one hour or bake for 20 minutes. Let harden and cool and a slice the bars. Flavors: I use ground cardamom and vanilla. You could also try a hint of almond flavor instead of cardamom. Other options are ground cinnamon or holiday spices.

And not all granola bar recipes are good. Quite often, they are literally calorie bombs loaded with rich ingredients. Those may work well for gaining weight.Brasserie Blanc is a chain of French restaurants inspired and guided by celebrity chef and vocal advocate of French cuisine, Raymond Blanc. With four locations in London and a further 10 which can be found regionally through the country, Brasserie Blanc is one of the better-known restaurant chains of its kind. Transfer pan to oven and bake for 15 minutes. After baking, remove pan from oven and allow to cool completely at room temperature before slicing into bars (do not slice before it’s fully cooled). After slicing, I would suggest transferring them to the refrigerator to fully chill before eating, although this is not essential. No Added Sugar: Make a paste of soft Medjool dates and use that instead of maple syrup. The bars will have a softer bite, unlike those made with maple syrup. Step 2 Combine oats, pecans, pepitas, and almonds on a rimmed baking sheet. Spread into an evenly layer and bake until lightly toasted, stirring halfway through, about 15 minutes.

Using a combination of puffed cereal with rolled oats actually lightens up the granola bars by cutting down a little on the calories and carbs, since the puffed cereals are not as dense. More Healthy TreatsMore Protein: Increase the amount of hemp seeds as they are a great source of protein. You can also add more chia seeds or flaxseed meal.

Toast the grains and nuts for 10 to 15 minutes at 350ºF to enhance flavor and texture. Do not over bake the nuts, or they may burn. Toast: Take the oats and almonds in a baking sheet and toast. This will make these ingredients more dry to help absorb the wet ingredients well. And will also enhance flavor. In a large pan over medium heat, toast pumpkin seeds until warmed and slightly golden, about 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once toasted, transfer pumpkin seeds to large mixing bowl. Reduce heat to medium-low and, to same pan, toast shredded coconut until golden, about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Transfer shredded coconut to mixing bowl of toasted pumpkin seeds.Step 4 Scrape toasted oat mixture into bowl with melted butter mixture. Fold in apricot, strawberries, and craisins. Spread mixture evenly onto prepared baking pan. Using a spoon, press top of granola bars to slightly compact mixture and create a more even top. Step 3 Reduce oven to 300°. In a large microwave-safe bowl, microwave butter and brown sugar, until butter is melted, about 1 minute. Add honey, vanilla, and salt and whisk until well combined and brown sugar is dissolved. Add egg white and stir vigorously until fully combined.
