The woman who plays the Mother is trying to be a Janice Garvey - but it just doesn't work. She simply comes over as a pretty poisonous individual without an ounce of tolerance or understanding. The husband could easily be replaced with a cardboard cut-out; the two children have contributed nothing - apart from the little girl's ridiculous American accent earlier in the series that probably wanted to make most of us scream louder than she did singing karaoke. The son is an utter borefest. The Grandfather (Bobby Nutt?) just about cuts the mustard and is a believable Benidorm character.
