Strong's 5547: Anointed One; the Messiah, the Christ. From chrio; Anointed One, i.e. The Messiah, an epithet of Jesus. Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as [being] dead to sin and living for God in Christ Jesus.

Toe sê die Here aan Moses: Ook hierdie versoek wat jy uitgespreek het, daaraan sal Ek voldoen; want jy het genade gevind in My oë, en Ek ken jou by die naam.’Prayer: Lord, how awesome it is to know that You come and step into my life to help me and to lift the burdens I carry. I choose to trust You with the issues and concerns in my life. Amen. What shall we say then? ( A)Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who ( B)died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that ( C)as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus ( D)were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were ( E)buried with Him through baptism into death, that ( F)just as Christ was raised from the dead by ( G)the glory of the Father, ( H)even so we also should walk in newness of life. So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. Free from Indwelling Sin BQ)Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For ( BR)if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you ( BS)put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For ( BT)as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For ( BU)you did not receive the spirit of bondage again ( BV)to fear, but you received the ( BW)Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ( BX)“Abba, [ n] Father.” 16 ( BY)The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then ( BZ)heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, ( CA)if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. From Suffering to Glory For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

What then [are we to conclude]? Shall we sin because we are not under Law, but under [God’s] grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that when you continually offer yourselves to someone to do his will, you are the slaves of the one whom you obey, either [slaves] of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness (right standing with God)? 17 But thank God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient with all your heart to the standard of teaching in which you were instructed and to which you were committed. 18 And having been set free from sin, you have become the slaves of righteousness [of conformity to God’s will and purpose]. 19 I am speaking in [familiar] human terms because of your natural limitations [your spiritual immaturity]. For just as you presented your bodily members as slaves to impurity and to [moral] lawlessness, leading to further lawlessness, so now offer your members [your abilities, your talents] as slaves to righteousness, leading to [ d]sanctification [that is, being set apart for God’s purpose].Romans 8:30 : Rom. 8:28; 9:24; 1 Cor. 1:9; Gal. 1:6, 15; 5:8; Eph. 1:11; 3:11; 2 Thess. 2:14; [Heb. 9:15; 1 Pet. 2:9; 3:9] Romans 8:27 : 1 Sam. 16:7; 1 Chr. 28:9; Prov. 15:11; 17:3; Jer. 11:20; 17:10; Luke 16:15; 1 Thess. 2:4 And the LORD said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’ Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For ( CL)we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but ( CM)the Spirit Himself makes intercession [ p]for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now ( CN)He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints ( CO)according to the will of God. Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. 6 We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. 7 For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. 8 And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. 9 We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. 11 So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
