About this deal

To keep the high chair’s footprint small, the Clikk does have a smaller-than-average tray. Most other high chairs have huge bulky trays with more surface area for mealtime. Even so, the Clikk’s tray still has adequate space for a plate or bowl and a sippy cup. Stokke, a company based in Norway, follows traditional Scandinavian design with a light and natural wood, along with muted neutral shades and minimalist style. As minimalism keeps gaining traction, parents are drawn to simpler high chairs like the Clikk. The Stokke Clikk high chair is intended for ages 6 months to 3 years. As with most high chairs, infants should be able to sit on their own before using the Clikk high chair. There is nothing quite as overwhelming as being a new parent. You soon find yourself knee-deep in cardboard boxes and bubble wrap, drowning in new nursery items. Which is why you want to assemble these items to be as easy as possible. And let’s face it, nothing moves faster than a crawling six month old who senses you have something important to do that might distract you for a split second. This is where Stokke comes in. Their Clikk highchair is designed to be super easy to build, without compromising on quality or appearance. Here we take a look at the Stokke Clikk highchair, our product of the week and let you know our thoughts! What is it? The Clikk is an intelligently designed high chair. The design is so impressive, it beat out the competition for an international design award.

To assemble, you’ll start with the seat component. From there, the four wooden legs snap into the corresponding holes on the bottom of the seat. Then, you just need to attach the tray and footplate. For a comfy seat, you can buy the Clikk high chair cushion. It’s made with breathable cotton and reversible, with one coated side that is easier to wipe clean.Anti-slip feet make it difficult to push around – This is a safety feature but also a complaint as you can't just slide the chair around with one hand if needed

Ergonomically designed for ages 6 months to 3 years, Stokke Clikk is like a custom-made throne for your mini monarch. Its adjustable footrest offers a seamless and easy alteration, making your little one comfortable at every age. This high chair supports baby’s spine as they develop, and there are three configurations for optimal seating to support them as they grow. There’s an optional cushion for extra comfort – a bit like a soft, snuggly hug for your little one. Easy to clean Tray is difficult to slide on and off. There is too much friction in the mechanism. Requires two hands, plus a foot or two for bracing, to keep the whole chair from sliding around on the floor. As a result I don’t even bother removing the tray. To its credit, I do like the Stokke brand’s commitment to quality. The chair was very easy to set up, and is easy to clean. European brands are held to a much higher standard than American brands when it comes to reducing toxicity, which is why I tend to prefer them. Red Dot is an international design competition judged by an expert jury. For the 2022 competition, the Clikk high chair was deemed the winner of the Product Design award for 2022. A small tray may be a deal-breaker for you though. Keep the tray size in mind before deciding on the Clikk high chair. PriceThe design of the meal tray itself is incredibly intuitive: free of any unnecessary creases or crevices, the Stokke Clikk High Chair meal tray is dishwasher safe and easy to keep clean between meals. The distinct design of the meal tray complements the stylish (yet still ergonomic!) lines of the Clikk’s seating, which features an adjustable footrest. Stokke also sells a line of mealtime accessories under the name Stokke Munch. The product line includes silicone bibs and bowls and a weighted bottom sippy cup. Wrap Up Now with that said, my kids LOVE this one since it's big enough for them to stand on together and they really can access it the most independently of all the towers we've ever owned with it's two-step design. In other words:

Again, I’m not willing to take the Clikk down a peg for this. When my son was in a high chair, he only utilized the small area of the tray in front of him. If he did venture to the sides of the tray, it was only to make a mess with his food. If you aren’t interested in dedicating a third of your day to cleaning a high chair, I’d recommend going with the Clikk. It was specifically designed without the nooks and crannies found in traditional high chairs. It’s in those nooks and crannies that baby food gets lost forever.

CHOICE Expert Rating

The award-winning Tripp Trapp high chair is instantly recognizable. Introduced in 1972, this wooden ergonomic chair has been part of millions of families’ homes. Both the Clikk and The Chair are sleek, easy-to-clean, and promote good ergonomics with adjustable footrests. Similarities aside, the Clikk still comes out ahead. This is mostly due to the limitations of The Chair past mealtime. To “shrink” The Chair to a play chair, you have to buy additional chair legs. Furthermore, a single play chair isn’t very useful without a companion or two. FAQs About the Clikk High Chair What age range is the Clikk high chair appropriate for? Secondly, the Tripp Trapp isn’t lightweight like the Clikk. While the Clikk is a mere 8 pounds, the Tripp Trapp tips the scales at 15 pounds, thanks to its all-wood design. In my recent post on best and worst baby products, I talk about my complaints around the Stokke high chair and how we ended up not using it a ton. The Ergobaby really solves that “longevity” issues I was experiencing with the expensive wooden high chairs on the market. Make mealtime memories with the Stokke Clikk High Chair! Inspired by sleek, minimalist Scandinavian design, the Stokke Clikk evolves alongside your child. Whether your child is in the midst of babyhood or is far beyond their days of sippy cups, the Stokke Clikk ensures that they will always have a seat at the table. STOKKE CLIKK DETAILS

With its neutral design, this high chair is at home with any decor. Also, it is tasteful enough that you won’t find yourself hiding it away when company visits! Easy to Clean As a mom, though, you aren’t easily swayed by things like product design awards. You want to know why your child should sit in this particular high chair.

Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of toddler towers and think they are a must have for every family so I'd personally get the 3-in-1. Overall I like this high chair because of the great aesthetic looks, but I’m disappointed in the harness design and tray mechanism. Assembling this high chair is so easy. While the manufacturer claims it only takes 1 minute to assemble, in reality, parents have found it takes even less than a minute! This high chair has a foam seat pad and an adjustable dinner tray (with silicone insert). It uses a five-point harness and comes bundled with an extra set of shorter legs for toddler mode. While both chairs come from the Stokke company, there have significant differences. Firstly, the Tripp Trapp is intended for lifetime use. This is a chair for babies, adults, and everyone in between. The Clikk high chair is targeted for use through infanthood and toddlerhood only.
