Description

In Toy Story, Mr. Potato Head does not have his storage compartment, which he does have in Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3. No official reason was given as to why. The same happens with the hole on the top of his head, which is absent in the first film. Lizard Wizard (voiced by Josh Cooley) is a small lime green lizard toy with a beard, a violet wizard hat and a wizard robe. Duke Caboom (voiced by Keanu Reeves) is an amiable Canadian daredevil toy with a white outfit, a horseshoe mustache, and a toy motorcycle. [48] [45] He suffers from low self-esteem due to believing that he let down his previous owner Rejean, unable to do the stunts that his commercial ads had promised. [49] Duke Caboom is a parody of the Evel Knievel Rally Stunt Cycle by the Ideal Toy Company. [50] In Toy Story 3, Mr. Potato Head is still annoyed when the Aliens continue to express their gratefulness toward him. When a teenage Andy enters his room to do something about the toys, he puts Mr. Potato Head and all the other toys, except Woody, into a trash bag. He intends to put the bag in the attic, but leaves to help his sister Molly. However, Andy's slightly-aged mother mistakes the bag for trash, and puts it on the curb. Mr. Potato Head was partly responsible for saving the toys from death when he pointed out what's the point to get out if Andy doesn't want them, making Buzz see Rex's pointy tail. The toys manage escape and sneak into a box bound for Sunnyside Daycare. Woody tries to clear up the misunderstanding, but the toys do not believe him and go to the daycare. There, they are greeted by Lotso, who assigns them to the Caterpillar Room. Mini Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Teddy Newton) is a small version of Buzz Lightyear who replaces the real Buzz when he ends up in the Poultry Palace ball pit. He fools Rex into thinking he is the real Buzz, but the other toys know he is an impostor. At the end of the short, Mini Buzz has become part of the discarded Fun Meal toy group.

The Cleric (voiced by Steve Purcell) is the "spiritual" leader of the Battlesaurs. The Cleric is the first Battlesaur shown to be aware of their status as toys, but conceals it from the others so that he can rule over them and Mason's other toys. However, his plans are thwarted when Reptillus sides with Trixie, he is later shown apparently enjoying his new role as Mason's plaything. Karen Beverly (voiced) by Melissa Villaseñor [42] is a sentient plastic knife with googly eyes and pipe cleaner arms. Like Forky, she was created by Bonnie and initially considers herself as trash. She appears in a mid-credits scene, in which she is introduced by Jessie after Bonnie's first day in first grade. Forky instantly falls in love with her. [43] [44]

Darby Steel (voiced by Dale Soules) is an elderly space cadet and paroled criminal who Buzz befriends. Initially serving a prison sentence, she joins the cause of Junior Zap Patrol in exchange for having her time reduced. She is an explosives expert.

Mr. Potato Head's hat-throwing technique to stop the closing doors at Al's Penthouse resembles Oddjob's trademark hat-throwing technique in Goldfinger. Transitron (voiced by Peter Sohn) is a Transformers-esque transforming robot who splits into five vehicle components. Jessie freed Transitron from a box that he was to be shipped in and then had him seal her inside so she could rescue Woody, Transitron later joined up with the other stolen toys and departed the Sleep Well. In 2015, Melanie Martinez released the song " Mrs. Potato Head" on her debut album Cry Baby. [29] Toy Story franchise [ edit ] Production information [ edit ] Movies [ edit ] When Woody holds a staff meeting, Mr. Potato Head asks if they have to hold hands when Woody tells everyone to get a moving buddy. Mr. Potato Head points out that Woody is, of course, not worried when he tells everyone not to panic when Andy's birthday has been moved to that day, citing bitterly that Woody has been Andy's favorite since kindergarten, only for Slinky to speak up to Mr. Potato Head when he has complained about that, and when Slinky is not looking, Potato Head takes off his mouth and "kisses" his own butt while Slinky keeps talking. When Woody sends Sarge and his Green Army Men, Mr. Potato Head prays for Andy to get a Mrs. Potato Head. Tae-Kwon Doe (voiced by Lori Alan) is an anthropomorphic karate deer toy. At one point, Neptuna sees her hand up and thinks she is raising her hand. When Neptuna calls on her, Tae-Kwon Doe explains that it is simply her play feature at which point her left hoof goes down hitting the plastic board that is a part of her base and "breaking" it. Her name is a play on " Taekwondo". Despite having more of an attitude in Toy Story, he becomes much more amicable after the arrival of Mrs. Potato Head.

Babyface [16]is a one-eyed baby doll head staked on top of a spider-like body with crab-like pincers made of Erector Set pieces. He is the leader of the mutant toys. Babyface is shown communicating with the other toys by banging in Morse code on the side of Sid's metal bedpost with his big claw. This method is used when he signals the other mutant toys to gather around to listen to Woody as he formulates his plan to rescue Buzz from Sid. When the mutant toys surround Sid, Babyface, suspended by Legs, lands on Sid's head, scaring him instantly. Babyface appears in Toy Story Treats, and is a playable character in the 2001 video game Toy Story Racer. [16] In 2010, Disney released a remote-controlled Babyface toy. Andy often casts him as a villain in his games, which seems to be the reason he can be so cynical and irritable, being cast as the bad guy so often. The third film, Toy Story 3 (2010), features a total of 302 characters. [26] The following notable characters appear in the film. Mr. Potato Head is then seen throughout the " I Can't Let You Throw Yourself Away" sequence, sitting still as Woody frequently keeps Forky from throwing himself out. That night, while everyone else is asleep, Forky escapes out of Bonnie's hands and jumps out the RV window. Woody says he'll meet them at the RV park in the morning with Forky and jumps out the window.

After the rescue, Mrs. Potato Head and the other toys hop into the Sunnyside Daycare donation box, vowing to never see Andy again, ranting about the situation and retort that he doesn't want them anymore. Barbie begins to break down in despair, agreeing with the other toys' pleas to be donated, but Mrs. Potato Head comforts her. Woody angrily tries to reassure Mrs. Potato Head and the other toys that Mrs. Davis throwing them away was an accident and that Andy wanted to put them in the attic, but Mrs. Davis closes the trunk of the van and heads off to Sunnyside.Mr. Potato Head was invented and manufactured by George Lerner in 1949, but was first distributed by Hasbro in 1952.
