Lastly I want to say that I personally really liked the end and I don’t understand how people felt like this was a super open ending. In my opinion the epilogue resolved everything really well but maybe some people just didn’t understand it because for you to get that "reference“ at the end, one would have had to be paying very good attention which I (for once) did, I guess.

It took a bit for the story to get going (and I initially hated the MC, Lex) but once all the contestants entered the cave, the story really took off.
