Description

The N-P-K ratio of Growmore fertilizer is typically 7-7-7 or 6-6-6, meaning that it contains 7% or 6% nitrogen, 7% or 6% phosphorus, and 7% or 6% potassium by weight. This balanced formulation ensures that plants receive an even supply of nutrients to support overall growth and development. Contain elements which provide tfte entire spectrum of nutrients needed for a wide variety of plants.

Fish, blood and bone has many uses in the garden from a general fertiliser, lawn fertiliser or as an addition to any container. It will help the plants in all of these cases. WHEN TO USE? Organic fertilisers: These are derived from plant or animal sources and contain plant nutrients in organic form. Organic products tend to be slower acting, as large organic molecules have to be broken down by soil organisms before the nutrients within them are released for plant use. Examples of organic fertilisers include: seaweed, hoof & horn, dried blood, fish blood & bone, bone meal, poultry manure pellets and liquid comfrey or nettle feeds. Other widely available products include Miracle-GroPerformance Organics All Purpose Concentrated Liquid Plant Food andLevingtonTomorite Organic Concentrate. One of the benefits of Growmore fertilizer is that it can be used on a wide range of plants, including flowers, vegetables, trees, and shrubs. It is suitable for use in gardens, containers, and greenhouses, making it a versatile fertilizer option for both hobbyist and professional growers. The answer to this question is dependent on how the fish meal, blood meal and bone meal are mixed and to what ratio. This is complicated by the age of the fertiliser, how much is applied, the weather it has been exposed to, the soil type and the microbial distribution, as this will change from batch to batch.

Peat-free compost or all-purpose compost?

Many manufacturers are attempting to lower the peat content in their compost, due to its negative impact on the environment. However, if the compost doesn’t state that it’s ‘peat free compost’ or at least ‘low in peat’, you should presume that it has a high peat content.

When peat is spread over the garden, its carbon content turns into carbon dioxide over time – not great news when trying to keep the release of greenhouse gasses to a minimum. Finally, whether or not compost contains peat is a matter of interest, and contention, for many gardeners. Given that it’s such a polemic issue, you’ll find that the next section is dedicated to the pros and cons of peat-based compost. Peat vs Peat-Free CompostWell, peat-based compost is still readily available, but a lot of gardeners are choosing to avoid it as much as possible for the above reasons. Compost can often be used at many different intervals along the life of your plant, from encouraging seeds to germinate, to aiding with repotting plants, or persuading plants to flower. It can be used for all plants including trees, flowering plants, shrubs, fruit bushes, herbs, vegetables and bulbs. Blood meal is a good source of nitrogen that is great for leafy growth, whilst bone meal strengths the plant cells and helps stronger roots to form, whilst fish meal does a bit of both. Fish, blood and bone also help the uptake of micronutrients, thus help to make the plant healthier. HOW MUCH NITROGEN, PHOSPHOROUS AND POTASSIUM IS THERE IN THE PRODUCT?

All GROW MORE fertilizers contain a special multi-mix of chelated micronutrients. manufactured from NA4 EDT A. Our new formula has the broadest compatibility range of any micronutrient source. Since our exclusive formula is chemically stable, differences in pH water hardness. or mixing temperature have no effect on chelate activity, which means the essential major and micronutrients are kept soluble and mobil for the greatest efficiency. Our formula provides the optimum level of micronutrients to satisfy the demands of most growing situations.

Apply 135g/sq.m around the base of established plants. Gently fork into the soil surface without disturbing the roots. Alternatively sprinkle over the soil surface around the stem of the plant and water in well. When planting out, scatter 135g/sq.m into the bottom of a planting hole and mix well with soil and compost when refilling the hole. This Multi-Purpose Compost with John Innes can be used at any life-stage of the plant: whether it’s germinating or waiting to flower. It delivers a good mix of nutrients and is suitable to be used for up to five weeks. For any composting, you’ll need: nitrogen, carbon, air, and water!
