It’s easy to see why – s loping floors offer superb views of Europe’s largest fixed stage, all sheltered by a cavernous 140-foot-tall dome echoing the beats and sounds of the musicians playing. No wonder then that the Maccabees billed this as being “ the best venue in the world ”. We concur.Sadly it’s closed for the time being, but we really hope this one opens its doors again soon.Sympathetic Ear If they don't have a beer you like here, then you don't like beer. Image: Sympathetic Ear The brewery has grown and changed with the area around it, but we remain firmly rooted in and committed to our vibrant and supportive community. We’ve gone from hand delivering most of our beer on foot to Brixton Market using a borrowed trolley to building a new, much bigger brewery around the corner from our original arch, which now houses our experimental small-batch brewery and neighbouring taproom. Another one for the beerhounds here, Walthamstow’s Exale Brewing and Taproom is a great spot to head if you’re ever in E17 and are looking to guzzle down some pints.

Another Bermondsey entry here. This time we’re talking about the Fourpure Brewing Co., a great spot right in the heart of SE16 that has been perfecting the art of beer-making since 2013. Another stop on the famous Bermondsey Beer Mile, Fourpure is all about ‘ easy-drinking, delicious beers‘ that are full of flavour and refreshingly simple. As well as a great taproom (um, hello see above), they also have a gift shop where you can score yourself all of their takeaway cans. Casual and affordable outdoor area in Brixton Station Road with limited seating and cover. Open till 11pm. After a few pints here, continue past the railway arches to the famous and long-standing Brixton Brewery, where you can stop for a thirst-quenching Coldharbour lager or two. End up at both Clarkshaw’s and Friendship Adventures breweries – situated on the way to Loughborough Junction – and see where the night takes you. We’ll cheers to that! The huge outdoor space is great for sunny-day drinking, so it’s an easy summer hit. They even have visiting street food vendors on a rotating basis, so you can get cajun food or chips and pitta to soak up all the beer.
