Mission to Pluto – It might not be a planet any more, but Pluto’s watch stands out with a white case, tan dial, and red bezel and subdials. While the bracelet, glass, and loops are made from bio-sourced plastic, they are 100% natural and contain no chemicals. It is made of a ceramic material that can keep your skin cool for hours, even when the outside temperature reaches over 53°C. It is a product to help those constantly exposed to heat. OK, so the MoonSwatch might not quite yet be widely available online, but there’s no harm in making sure you’re fully prepared for when it is. I didn’t get my Mission To Mercury on the day of release. I had to wait until a couple of weeks after the launch, but the wait was worth it. Why? This model's colors, lettering and numbers, and overall look are nearly identical to the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. An alternative here is also the Mission to Mercury, whose gray tones give it a unique look that is nevertheless faithful to the classic Speedy. Why is it controversial? Well, you may have seen a few people complaining about the blue BioCeramic case leaving some blue residue on their wrists. There’s no hiding this, and it does happen. Ben’s Mission To Neptune in the photos was no exception, and it “blued” his wrist too. Despite this, the Mission To Neptune is a great-looking watch, and it probably wouldn’t be enough to put me off. I understand some people may not be too keen, however.
The OMEGA Speedmaster is one of the most well-known timepieces in the world. With the launch of the Moonswatch last year, OMEGA and Swatch have reimagined the cult timepiece that is the Speedmaster. The Moonswatch has been on everyone’s lips since it launched – in part due to its affordable price and not least due to its exclusivity as a hard-to-find product at Swatch Stores. Swatch set the watch world abuzz at the end of March 2022. In the run up to this, the Swiss watch giant had partnered with its subsidiary Omega for a re-interpretation of one of history's most famous timepieces: the legendary Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, i.e., the first watch on the Moon. The beige Mission to Jupiter is something for every fan of the Speedmaster "Ultraman." Its most outstanding features are the orange chronograph hands that were also found on the original Ultraman from the late 1960s, as well as the 2018 Speedy Tuesday Ultraman special edition.
Bioceramic Swatch x NASA
As you would expect from ZULUDIVER we did not compromise on quality with the strap being made from high strength slanted nylon using a unique shuttleless weaving process which offers superior friction resistance and colour retention. The military grade non-fray hook and loop fastening system is hypoallergenic and will work in temperatures as low as -30 degrees. It should securely open and close more than 5000 times. The matt, corrosion resistant, steel loop is embossed with the ZULUDIVER name. The Mission on Earth MoonSwatch features the widest palette of colors in this collection: the case is an earthy green, the bezel and dial are navy blue, and the subdials are white. The chronograph hands round off the watch nicely, and are a brownish red. There are plenty of choices for where to grab one for yourself, but the MoonSwatch in the images belongs to our Social Media Manager, Sinara. Her watch is on the excellent Bond NATO from Australian strap supplier, Artem Straps. Nacho, our Managing Editor, reviewed Artem’s NATO straps earlier this year and was very impressed. Given how neatly this Bond strap complements the Mission To The Moon, I don’t think you can go far wrong.
