Description

There was initially friction between Legolas and the Dwarf Gimli, because of the ancient quarrel between Elves and Dwarves, rekindled by Thranduil's treatment of Gimli's father Glóin. [T 2] Legolas and Gimli became friends when Gimli greeted Galadriel respectfully. [T 7] When the fellowship left Lothlórien, Galadriel gave the members gifts; Legolas received a longbow, [T 8] which he used to bring down a Nazgûl's flying steed in the dark with one shot. [T 9] Legolas came to the Council of Elrond in Rivendell, the great meeting held by the Elf lord Elrond, as a messenger from his father to discuss the escape of Gollum. When the council was choosing the "Nine Walkers" to pit against the " Nine Riders," Legolas volunteered to represent the Elves, and to become one of the members of the Fellowship that would set out to destroy the One Ring. [2] Legolas's hips and legs sport a splash of earth green on each side, symmetrically. Apart from this and a lighter brown design carried on from the torso in the groin area, the legs are dark brown.

Legolas is present when Frodo reawakens in Minas Tirith. At Aragorn's coronation, the King thanks his friend again for his support. Legolas then steps aside to reveal Arwen, whereupon Aragorn finally marries her. Legolas then bows before Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry with everybody else present to thank them for everything they did. Legolas is a hero in The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II, voiced by Crispin Freeman. After the destruction of the One Ring, Legolas remained in Minas Tirith for Aragorn's coronation and marriage to Arwen. Later, Legolas and Gimli travelled together through Fangorn forest and to the Glittering Caves of Aglarond, as Legolas had promised Gimli. [T 18] Eventually [T 17] Legolas brought south many Silvan Elves, and they dwelt in Ithilien, and it became once again the "fairest country in all the westlands." [T 19] They stayed in Ithilien for "a hundred years of Men." [T 17] After Aragorn dies, Legolas built a small ship and sailed West, reportedly taking Gimli with him. [T 19] Concept and creation [ edit ]

Gimli quarreled with him in Moria (which was not unexpected considering the ancient quarrel between Elves and Dwarves) - Legolas' father Thranduil had once imprisoned Gimli's father, Glóin. [5] The Battle of the Five Armies set includes Legolas' Hobbit variant but in the film he is seen wearing his Lord of the Rings outfit. The Lord of the Rings, Appendix B: The Tale of Years (Chronology of the Westlands), "Later Events concerning the Members of the Fellowship of the Ring" Like all Elves, Legolas had great respect and appreciation for nature. After the Fellowship parted from Fangorn Forest, he longed to return once more to explore its wonders more thoroughly. He was kind, caring greatly for his friends, even Gimli the Dwarf, though Elves and Dwarves almost never expressed liking for one another in Middle-earth. [1] Powers and abilities

If there were easily available equivalents with yellow feet, I wouldn't mind so much. But the odds of LEGO ever producing K2 (dual-moulded) dark reddish-brown short legs with yellow feet for an in-house line are slim :~( " Robin (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Batgirl • Excalibur Batman • Batman (The LEGO Batman Movie) • The Joker (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Poison Ivy • Clayface • Flying Monkey (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Catwoman • The Scarecrow (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Martian Manhunter • Wonderdog • Menial Task Mike • Two-Face (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Harley Quinn (The LEGO Batman Movie) • King Kong • The Kraken • Agent Smith • Superman (The LEGO Batman Movie) • The Riddler (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Morpheus • Officer Dan • Man-Bat • Orca (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Calculator • Mayor McCaskill • Killer Croc • Alfred Pennyworth (The LEGO Batman Movie) • Poppy • Batman (1966) • Robin (1966) • Mad Hatter • Apache Chief • Samurai • El DoradoHead forward a bit then grab a torch and stand in front of the wheel to light a fire and create a swinging platform. After the destruction of the One Ring and of Sauron, Legolas stayed for the coronation of Aragorn and his marriage to Arwen. Later, he and Gimli travelled together to Helm's Deep, visiting the Glittering Caves, and then traveled through Fangorn Forest. Eventually, Legolas came to Ithilien with some of his people, with his father's leave, to live out his remaining time in Middle-earth helping to restore the woodlands that had been war-torn. After Aragorn's death, Legolas made a ship in Ithilien and left Middle-earth to go over the sea. His strong friendship with Gimli prompted Legolas to invite him to accompany him to the Undying Lands; making him the first and only Dwarf to do so. He was never seen again in Middle-earth. [15] [16] Etymology

In LEGO The Lord of the Rings: The Video Game, Legolas is voiced by Orlando Bloom since in the game, actual movie audio is used for cutscenes and other dialogue needed. Legolas is able to jump higher than other characters in game.

The medievalists Stuart D. Lee and Elizabeth Solopova note that Legolas's lament over the stones of the Elvish land of Hollin: "Only I hear the stones lament them: deep they delved us, fair they wrought us, high they builded us; but they are gone," [T 4] recalls the Old English poem The Ruin. [1]

The LEGO Group was founded in Billund, Denmark in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen, its name derived from the two Danish words LEg GOdt, which mean “Play Well”. Today, the LEGO Group remains a family-owned company headquartered in Billund. However, its products are now sold in more than 130 countries worldwide. Commentators have noted that Legolas serves as a typical Elf in the story, demonstrating more-than-human abilities such as seeing further than anyone else in Rohan and sensing the memory of a long-lost Elvish civilisation in the stones of Hollin. Not surprisingly, we find the elf gallivanting around Mirkwood, hunting spiders, hating dwarves, and generally helping his father rule the kingdom. His overtly beefed-up role balloons from there as he repeatedly gets involved in the quest. In the process, the audience finds out about his dead mother and witnesses a strange scene in which Thranduil sends him off in search of Aragorn.Gimli’s beard color and shape was way better before. Also, his eyes don’t fit his beard and helmet very well at all. Love the medium legs though and the new helmet is great even if it was a bit superfluous.
