The seal was instant and consistently reliable, such that I have become confident leaving the house for a ride without an inner tube. The combination of tubeless sealant and the Dynaplug Racer covers the overwhelming majority of puncture-related issues that are likely to occur on any given outing. As mentioned, the only alternative is the fork-and-anchovy paradigm, which can be much lighter and cheaper, but compromises speed and effectiveness – and a faff in the cold/wet. You need good eyesight and a steady hand to thread them up, whereas the Dynaplugger could almost be used blind, if you could hear/feel where the cut was. Must use DC9-1 or DC9-2. The only small practical gripe I have with the Dynaplug Racer is that both ends of the tool look the same – it would save a little time and faff knowing which plug (regular or mega) was housed under which cap. Now it is time to make the repair. Firmly push the insertion tube straight through until the tool is bottomed out. It is crucial from this point to not twist or turn the tool when inserting the plug. If twisted, this can cause the brass tip to separate from the cord. It is equally important to fully insert the tool so the plug is placed properly for repair. You may have lost a bunch of air at this point, but there is no need to fear. If low pressure is making it difficult to insert the plug, you can squeeze the sidewalls together or add a little air to give the tire more structure.
