Description

As an extra, special celebration of 100 years we are also releasing a limited edition of just 100 exclusive copies of the book. These "AM100" special editions feature a unique cover reproduction of James Hart Dyke's painting of Sir Stirling Moss driving the DBR1 at the Nürburgring, with the book itself signed and individually numbered by the artist. René Staud is still passionate about photography and the automotive world. He devotes his time to exhibitions, events and photo shows in galleries, thus, revealing fresh enthusiasm for automotive trends –Staud’s photo shoots of collectors’ vehicles and classic cars mean the “fascination of the automobile” lives on.

Each chapter describe the birth of the car, development, history, production and periodic road test. With different models for each chapter showing accurate pictures and artistic pictures, it will give you a precise understanding of the cars. Formula 1 teams tend to push it extremely far, and Red Bull Racing again goes a little further, all eyes on laptime only. That’s just who they are. Rumour has it, one Red Bull engineer once got flak after he had taken the outer side of Adrian’s pencil line to define the size of a part whereas, obviously, it had to be the inner side. It’s really a whole other attitude. Is it crazy? Yes. Does it make sense? Not always, probably. Valkyrie is so blindingly fast, most owners will never squeeze it out to the max anyway. But there’s also a lot of beauty in this relentless striving for efficiency and performance, even coming close to art. This is not just the fastest road car of the entire Milky Way. It’s mainly the three dimensional result of a very peculiar, uncompromising philosophy that only occurs in the world’s most advanced sport. Maybe not all owners will frequently take their Valkyrie out, but they at least have something to talk about at their gentlemen’s club, far exceeding the typical horse power and top speed discussions. Does it make sense to push so hard that a few careers got ruined and more marriages didn’t survive? Is it really worthwhile to spend that much effort and money the company came close to bankruptcy? I guess not. But it’s kind of cool as well. Whether it’s the Chinese Wall, the Eiffel Tower or some of the most iconic cars ever, history is coloured by totally limitless and crazy projects. Exactly this makes our book so special. Imagine you would now find a book on the Ferrari 250 GTO, produced in the day by journalists who were there, talking with Enzo, Giotto Bizzarrini, Sergio Scaglietti, Luigi Chinettti and all other legends in the making. Because yes, without a shadow of a doubt, Valkyrie will be headlining Villa d’Este in 2062. From bestselling author, racer and stunt driver Ben Collins - the man who was The Stig - comes a story of spies, speed and hard-driving a driver's love letter to one of the world's best-loved machines. One annoying occurrence for me was everytime Aston Martin was mentioned, it was shortened to Astons. Now sorry but I would be much happier if it was just Aston. Sometimes the end S was correct but mostly it wasn't and it was annoying but I'll overlook it this time. For over 30 years Aston Martins were powered by the company’s emblematic hand-built quad-cam V8 – three tumultuous decades encompassing the firm’s slide towards closure in 1974, its rescue by an American/Canadian/British consortium, and finally its surprise 1987 acquisition by Ford. The main purpose is to give an extensive view of the evolution car per car with pictures and text all together gathered in a luxury slip case.

The classic V8s are the leviathans of the Aston Martin story. So it is fitting that they are celebrated in a tome as weighty, imposing and sumptuously produced as this latest limited edition from highly regarded Palawan Press.” – VANTAGE I have various books about the marque and the quarterly magazine called Vantage so I get the gist of the history of this Great of British Racing marques but this book put a fact into lovely juicy tales that keeps you interested. Some of the famed characters come to life (again) with these tales. Breathtaking accounts of races from the past, important ones or not. Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept. Each glazed lithograph fine art print measures 340 x 385mm, is blind embossed and numbered and signed by the artist. This print will not be commercially available anywhere else. Book and print come in a special presentation box bearing the legendary Aston Martin badge. Inside Valkyrie’ by WAFT is a four part book which covers the entire development of Aston’s ultimate hypercar, together with all details, anecdotes and long talks with all protagonists. Part one tells how Red Bull and Aston Martin came together. Part two explains the design process and the aero development, including a private lecture by Adrian Newey. Part three reveals how many endless days were spent on the engineering of engine, chassis, gearbox, active suspension and what else, while part 4 is almost like an exciting novel, testifying what a tough endurance race testing and assembly eventually became. It’s limited to 300 numbered copies only and available in the CD Shop. There are even some little gems mentioned in this book like speaking about Solo, one of the side stories of Star Wars. Of course you can't write about Aston Martin without mentioning James Bond so it's delightful to read about the latest (and as yet unseen) film No Time to Die.You’ve published quite a few nice books in the past, including Ruf, Inside SCG, When sex was safe, Spada and 911 LoveRS. Many of them are still available in the CD Shop. But is this your magnus opus? Being a fan of Aston, I will most certainly be keeping this book in my AM collection and am excited to see where the marque goes on from here. So what Aston is the best to drive? In our opinion, the best Aston Martin to drive is the Aston Martin DB11. This supercar went to production in 2016 as the successor to the Aston Martin DB9, but with an entirely new design and sleeker new look. It was the first supercar released as part of the manufacturers 'second century' plan, and the first supercar launched since their deal with Daimler AG. The transmission is a dual-clutch 8-speed ZF 8HP75 paddle-shift gearbox and is available with either a 4.0 L Mercedes-AMG M177 twin-turbocharged V8, or 5.2 L Aston Martin AE31 twin-turbocharged V12 engine. We” includes Aston Martin Lagonda Limited, Aston Martin Lagonda of Europe GmbH, Aston Martin Lagonda of North America Inc., Aston Martin Lagonda (China) Automobile Distribution Co. Ltd, Aston Martin Japan Limited, Aston Martin Asia Pacific PTE Limited, Aston Martin MENA Limited and your chosen Aston Martin Franchised Dealer.

René Staud’s path to photography was defined early on: He was twelve years old when he won his first photography competitions. In 1966 he was a self-employed photographer and laid the foundation for René Staud Photography. More than the story of a charismatic British marque, this is an absorbing account of the roller-coaster challenges of running a specialist motor-manufacturing company in difficult times, at the end of an era of handbuilding cars. The author painstakingly analyses the custodianship of Aston Martin Lagonda, from the final David Brown years to the period of Ford management – including such episodes as the failed bid to take over the MG sports-car operation. Limited to just 300 numbered copies, the four volumes are housed in a stunning slip case with each volume covering a different stage of the journey to the finished car. Volume one starts with the founding of the relationship between Aston Martin and Red Bull, while the final volume looks at initial testing and assembly of the finished cars.
