Description

Made from UV stable, frost resistant plastic, they are extremely robust and will last for up to 10 years. They are frequently used by professional growers for raising trees and shrubs - which shows just how good they are! Recommended use: Container pots used for shrubs, herbaceous and climbers’ examples: poinsettia & large cyclamen. These can be used for potting on as the plant matures and needs a bigger pot. If you are going to use a slow releasing fertilizer, mix it into the soil now, if not skip to step 3.

EasyFeed Fabric Containers utilise root-pruning technology to produce dense, radial root systems that utilises every inch of space in the container, eliminating root circling. Healthier roots mean healthier plants – you can expect to see shortened vegging times, stronger plants and bigger yields! You’ll need to feed your plants more often than in regular pots, but if you’re running an EasyFeed System, you can let the Water Timertake care of that for you! The size of these larger plants varies according to the particular variety and the age of the plant, but as a rough guide, 10 litre plants fall in the range 75 - 120cm (2½ - 4ft) high, while the 30 litres are generally 90 - 150cm (3 - 5ft).

Dimensions: 9cm diameter top and 7cm depth. Capacity: 0.29 litres. Recommendeduse: For pot bedding and young plants. The pictures below show, from left to right in each image, the following varieties in 10 and 30 litre pots: Dimensions: 40.8cm diameter top, 29.8cm diameter base and 33cm depth. Internal top diameter 36cm. Capacity: 30 litres. It’s possible to use air pots and smart pots, lots of perlite and even drill holes in the side of standard pots and containers. Another option that has been around for some time, although not often mentioned, is the air pipe or air tube. The Air Pipe Dimensions: 69cm diameter top, 52cm diameter base and 51cm depth. Internal top diameter 65cm. Capacity: 130 litres. Recommended use: Heavy duty plant pots used for tree production and growing.

For a 10 litre plant the rootball is 27cm (10½") diameter and 20cm (8") deep, 36cm (14") x 30cm (12") for a 30 litre. It should come as no surprise then that, potatoes are one of the UK’s most farmed crops and have become a favourite among those who grow their own food. Normally potatoes require a lot of space to grow. When planted in the ground, it is recommended to leave at least 45 cm between each row. Not everyone has spacious gardens or allotments, so taking a little time to plan what type of potatoes you want to grow and where, will reap big rewards. For example, you could plan to grow earlies and second earlies in potato bags and containers, leaving your vegetable plot or allotment for free for maincrop potatoes. Alternatively, and if space is very limited then you could simply grow maincrop potatoes only, in bags or containers. It’s all about getting the most from your limited space and there are plenty of variety choices to help you decide which one might be best for you. Some of the best seed potatoes for growing on in containers are the early and second early varieties. That’s because these potatoes are much smaller than maincrop types and therefore need less room. However, you still need quite large containers to accommodate all of the new tubers that will be produced. A first early seed potato can produce approximately 7 times its own weight in new potatoes. A maincrop seed potato can produce approximately 12 times its weight. In both cases, it can be more depending on the quality of the soil and growing conditions. Choosing the correct potato bags and containers

They do not have a lovely finish like decorative ones but they are strong and designed to do the job not look pretty. Dimensions: 50cm diameter top, 35.2cm diameter base and 40.5cm depth. Internal top diameter 45cm. Capacity: 50 litres.

Fertilizer. The decision to use fertilizer comes down to personal choice. Some gardeners prefer to mix slow releasing fertilizer into the soil during potting, whereas others prefer to use natural liquid plant feed once the foliage has developed. Regardless of what you choose, read and follow the fertilizer instructions and do not overfeed the plant. They need access to water and nutrients 24/7 – when the plants want them, rather than when we give them. Records the default button state of the corresponding category & the status of CCPA. Sunlight. Place your potato containers in an area that gets at least 6-8 hours of sunlight each day. The last rule is the same for all plants grown in containers. Keep them well watered. Keep in mind that, normally, plants can extend their roots deep into the soil in search of water, but when grown in containers the roots are confined and as such are reliant on you to keep the soil moist. This particular range of large plant pots have handles fitted to the top rim of the pot. Making them easy to move and transport when needed. Dimensions: 59.5cm diameter top, 42.8cm diameter base and 48cm depth. Internal top diameter 55cm. Capacity: 90 litres.
