How To Return A Product However, not all floodlight cams offer the same features. For example, some pricier models have smart detection and recognition capabilities. Others offer broad support for third-party smart home devices and platforms. Camera quality isn't industry-leading here at 1080p, but that should be sharp enough for most people, while an IP65 weather rating means you're fine to leave it out in all sorts of bad weather without worrying. Please be aware that we currently cannot arrange for delivery of this product to the following postcodes: AB, FK, HS, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH, ZE, LL58-LL78, IM, TR, BT, PO30-41.

If your Router or camera has external antennas, please try to change the antennas’ direction to see if this improves the signal. You view recent recordings in the app, with a calendar and timeline to scroll through. If you've set the app to record footage constantly, coloured bars in the timeline indicate when motion's detected, so you know which points in the recording could be interesting. With a 1080P camera and a 110-degree viewing angle, plenty will be captured within the frame and with a crisp, clear feed. With a smartphone, you can take advantage of real-time viewing to see who is entering your property. Recordings are automatically saved when motion is detected and an 80dB siren can be triggered to act as the ultimate deterrent – this is more than loud enough to notify neighbours or people in the surrounding area. Alongside the siren, there is an integrated LED spotlight (160 lumens) which can be activated when the smart outdoor camera detects motion. There is no need to worry about footage recorded during the night with the 10m infrared night vision, meaning that your home is under surveillance 24/7. Smart together - Control with voice assistant and view your cameras with your favourite screen enabled smart speaker

Please make sure there are not too many objects around your Wi-Fi router or camera, as this can decrease the Wi-Fi signal. Installation went pretty smoothly, though I wish we'd known to pair the camera with the app before mounting it to the wall. Pairing requires you to point your phone camera at a QR code on the Yale (confusingly not the QR code in the instructions) and then it uses the phone microphone to play audio to communicate with the Yale Floodlight Camera's microphone. We mounted it before pairing, so there was some going up and down a ladder with a phone. At least I remembered to put the MicroSD memory card into the slot in the weatherproof camera before it was mounted. At last, a high-tech kettle that makes the most of your efficient induction hob. It automatically shuts off at boiling temperature (a metal plate in it lifts, turning off the hob just like lifting a saucepan). There's no need for a whistle and you can fill the glass kettle from any angle. Early Indiegogo funders are getting theirs now; production models are imminent. The Flood Light Camera must be hardwired (240v) in to your mains power supply, providing continuous power supply without having to charge a battery. Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician for your safety and protection.

Siren Protection - Customise your Motion Zones to cover specific areas of your property and trigger the remote-activated siren if an emergency arises. But pairing did work and the app successfully taught the camera how to connect to my home Wi-Fi. After which, the camera and app worked together beautifully. The camera stays connected to Wi-Fi and you can access it from the app, wherever you are. It's worth keeping the ladder up for a short time after installation, until you've got the app working. Seeing footage on-screen helps you figure out the best angle to point the camera (you can adjust it up and down, but not side-to-side). The integrated camera allows you to view high definition HD 1080p footage so that you can see who's at the property. You can view live footage at anytime via the Yale View app and the camera includes motion detection technology which alerts you when movement is detected. The camera also includes LED night vision video from up to 10 meters away providing crystal clear coloured footage any time of day. The 'legs' of this 28cm-long travel gadget open, doing double duty. Spread them wide into a coat hanger shape to dry clothes or narrow to poke into a pair of wet shoes. Either way, the mains-powered device uses warm air to dry them and UV light to sterilise them, with a timer that powers off after up to eight hours. The resolution indicates the size of image that is captured by the camera, the larger the image the clearer the image will appear. Higher resolution cameras are ideal when viewing footage on a large TV screen. Lower resolution cameras are perfect for viewing high definition video on your smartphone or tablet.

Motion detection notification - Receive live notifications through the Yale View App as someone approaches your doorThere are multiple lighting modes to ensure that you don't blind anyone unnecessarily, too, and in a pinch it can deploy a 110dB built-in siren which should be more than enough to deter most intruders or trespassers. The cameras typically house Wi-Fi or Bluetooth radios to connect the fixture to your home network and feature weather-resistant enclosures that protect them from the elements. If you have a lot of smart devices on your network, consider choosing a dual-band camera that can connect to either the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or 5GHz bands. The camera footage is very impressive. The 1080p high-definition picture is detailed and you can zoom in to the footage. You can't pan and tilt the camera though, it's fixed. The positioning of the camera obviously dictates the camera angle – for example, whether you see people's faces or the tops of their heads. Traditional outdoor floodlights that broadcast intense light with a wide beam are ideal for lighting up driveways, pools, and every other part of your property. Most floodlight fixtures use a motion sensor to automatically turn the lights on when they detect motion, but if you want to see who or what triggered them, you need a smart floodlight camera.

The camera boasts a 2,000-lumen floodlighting system in two prongs that you can arrange to point exactly as you need, making them great for slightly funky spaces. Anything of a nature that for hygiene or associated health and safety - this includes the Outdoor Spas, Mattresses and Divan Sets If your house is very big, and the place where you want to locate the camera is out of the Wi-Fi range, you can consider adding a range extender to extend the Wi-Fi coverage. This weatherproof, mains-powered, HD camera features a 2,000-lumen floodlight, 10m night vision, two-way talking and a 110dB siren. Add a memory card to store footage, so you can use it via Wi-Fi – with app alerts, live view and recent recordings – all without paying a monthly fee.I found my route to doing this easily was to mount the unit in place of an existing static light fitting, which meant all the wiring was in place and there was also the reassurance of a secure location point. I needed to drill some new holes for the fixing screws, but other than that the wiring part of the process was pretty straightforward. The main thing to remember during this is to switch off at the mains before you do anything! Similarly, don’t overlook the fact that you’ll need to put in the microSD card before you get too far into the installation process. Yale Floodlight Camera review: Performance
