Construction Seaming Tape 8087cw is designed to seal seams on house wrap and insulated sheathing products. It can also be used to seam polyethylene vapour barrier products as well as to repair holes and tears in these building materials. Taping seams aide in reducing air infiltration, improving the effectiveness of insulation, and reducing heating and cooling costs. The last type of tape is made of rubberized asphalt—think of Ice and Water Shield. Rubberized asphalt tapes work well with irregular surfaces but do not adhere in cold weather.
