An issue I generally take with people who call themselves "hardcore religious" (doesn't even matter which religion) is they're never very consistent with how they follow their faith. Like as much as I do love my mother the fact she got into being a part of a Southern Baptist church by my step father has always rubbed me the wrong way, and not helping is said church has had pastors who said things like "don't watch Modern Family because it goes against our values" and also putting pamphlets near the entryway during elections urging people to always vote Republican, especially during the 2020 election. The only times I ever go to this church is if my mom asks me to go with her for something like Mother's Day or Christmas service.
