Description

Android Go is the regular version of Android but with “Go” apps. These apps are lightweight, don’t require much performance to run, and are made explicitly for budget devices with lower-performing components. Dolby Atmos Speakers Get peace of mind and faster solutions for your Tablet Device Problems, allowing you to get the best from your new device directly from the Manufacturer of the device. TLDR; We think that the extra performance and battery are worth the 20 dollar markup and make for a great experience all around. However, we would’ve liked to see USB-C, better cameras for 2021, and some more performance, but it is what it is. What’s in the box?

It’s very disappointing that its performance is too weak for basic multitasking. During my time with this tablet, I never had the feeling of using something fast. Sure, you can surf the web a bit and watch some Netflix. All of that works. But you’ll see smaller stutters quite often and if something is not loaded immediately, it can be frustrating. By the way: According to the press release, the 2GB RAM version will be shipped with normal Android 9 Pie. Battery LifeYes, the Lenovo Tab M7 can run and play games, but it can only run light gaming titles with a low-performance requirement. If you want to play high-end games, you should buy a better tablet for the job as the Tab M7 won’t fulfill your demands. Can we call from Lenovo Tab M7? Now, I wish Lenovo would have applied some coating to reduce visible fingerprints. You will see those easily. The Tab M7 has quite a lot of potential. Its build quality is fantastic, and the screen and battery life are great at this price too. Both cameras and the speaker are bad but that’s to be expected. Its major downside is the slow processor and the 1GB RAM version. For about 10 to 20 dollars more, you can get much better performing tablets. Case 3: Finally, the last case for getting the device is if you need a secondary tablet to help you control all your smart home appliances with ease. Don’t Buy If

By the way, you can’t watch Netflix with HD resolution because the necessary DRM standards are not supported. In this case, however, that’s not an issue because we’re not getting an HD resolution anyways. Hardware & PerformanceCase 1: Get the Tab M7 if you want to buy an affordable android tablet for your kids or a tablet for your family. It is cheap, and you don’t have to worry if your kids end up destroying it. Battery: These systems do not support batteries that are not genuine Lenovo-made or authorised. Systems will continue to boot, but may not charge unauthorised batteries. Lenovo has no responsibility for the performance or safety of unauthorised batteries, and provides no warranties for failures or damage arising out of their use. **Battery life is based on the MobileMark® 2014 methodology and is an estimated maximum. Actual battery life may vary based on many factors, including screen brightness, active applications, features, power management settings, battery age and conditioning, and other customer preferences. The box of the Lenovo Tab M7 comes with a few things in it. It is lightweight, doesn’t take all that space, and includes the following: Lenovo did not customize the UI at all which is great. We’re getting pretty much vanilla Android 9 Go. In addition to those Google apps, there are a couple of standard ones pre-installed like a calculator, the camera app and a Dolby Audio app. But that’s it. There has also been a slight improvement in the battery capacity, and the six and a half-hour of the screen on time has gone up to around seven and an hour hours for a constant screen on usage.

RAM and Storage is also another department that is getting an upgrade and again has been doubled from the last-gen. The RAM is now 2GB, and the storage is 32GB compared to the measly 1GB and 16GB from before. Newer, Faster Android Let’s get to its hardware and performance. Inside the Lenovo Tab M7 runs a MediaTek MT8321 quad-core processor. You’ll be able to choose between 1GB and 2GB of RAM, as well as between 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. Well, these are the option in some countries. I’m using the version with 1GB of RAM and a 16GB internal storage which is the only one available in Germany right now.

Software

Accessories play an essential role in improving the overall experience of the device, and the Lenovo Tab M7, unfortunately, doesn’t have any first-party accessories built for it. However, the Fire HD 7 has a hard shell for extra protection and also has a rugged, playful cover that converts the tablet into a much more kid-friendly device. Both the devices come with a 7-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 600 x 1024, which makes for an equal apples-to-apples comparison. However, the Lenovo Tab M7 feels a little better with extra contrast and brightness making for better visibility and color reproduction. It’s still Android. And if you’ve used Android already, you’ll feel right at home. However, compared to normal Android, there are some missing features. There is no split-screen view, for example. That means you can’t open two apps side by side, but the performance would be too weak for that anyways.

The Tab M7 comes with an octa-core chip that performs well for everyday tasks, media streaming, and a little bit of casual gaming, but the Fire HD comes with a quad-core chip that can’t keep up with the Tab M7. The seven hours of screen on time for a tablet of this caliber is decent, and you can expect to stream two to three movies with ease and still have some battery for the night. However, the charging speed is slow and will take around 2 hours to be fully charged. Good display for the Price On the Lenovo Tab M7 runs Android 9 Go Edition. The Go Edition is a less demanding version of Android that does not require as powerful hardware. The Tab M7 is not a gaming tablet, of course. Very simple games do run, however. I played Badland Brawl and Apple Knight and both run great. Other games like Fortnite are not supported though. SoftwareCase2: Don’t get the device if you want to stream Full HD movies and want fantastic performance comparable to high-end tablets. There are several changes like these. And instead of normal Google apps, there are some Go versions of those apps pre-installed. Among those is Gmail Go, Google Maps Go, and the Assistant Go. These are simpler versions with fewer features that run better on weak platforms. If you want, you can install the normal version using the Play Store. But they don’t run as well.
