Description

Michael began to explore (using meticulous research), the afterlife through the eyes of his clients. It was to be over 25 years before Michael first shared his work with the world, having researched and assembled a model of the spiritual realm 7000 clients, spanning over 35 years. His journey towards these discoveries is further outlined in his best-selling books Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls. Why are you here on Earth? Where will you go after death? What will happen to you when you get there? Many books have been written about past lives, but there has been little about the ongoing existence of our souls as we await rebirth—until this startling and provocative book. We were founded at the beginning of a new millennium. This was an auspicious time for an organization devoted to individual spiritual TNI (MNI)teaches that the core purpose of souls who come to earth in their incarnations is to bring love, compassion and understanding to others who cross their lives. This moral imperative is blended into our personal karmic purpose to improve life on earth by our being here. Defining individual identity through our hypnosis methodology helps people advance the level of their own energy. The realization of our universal divinity as united souls on earth, each with a conscious knowledge of Self and purpose, would allow for a more positive destiny in our future on this planet. The dissemination of these ideas will allow TNI to grow larger and more effective in the process of expanding

Many books have been written about past lives, but there has been very scant information about the ongoing existence of our souls as we await rebirth – until Journey of Souls was published in 1994. Still a best-selling classic, Journey of Souls summarizes Dr. Michael Newton’s research and work with individuals whom he placed in a state of deep hypnosis during which they recalled their experiences between lives as eternal spirits. I agree with some of what forms the core of Clare's work, in particular the importance of resolving personal issues in both the conscious and subconscious mind. I also genuinely believe that her form of therapy can help some people get better—that it could be a way to get at feelings that are otherwise suppressed. However, I don't believe in the afterlife in the way she'd like me to; the whole thing just seems too much like a way of coping with the inevitability of death by maintaining an illusion of control. Everything is a form of energy with varying degrees of density, structure and composition, even what we consider as matter. In the early stages of hypnosis regression into past lives, the descriptions of subjects mentally going through their past deaths do not contradict the reported statements of people who have actually died in this life for a few minutes. The difference between these two groups of people is that subjects in hypnosis are not remembering their experiences of temporary death. People in a deep trance state are capable of describing what life is like after permanent physical death. Which is just fine if you're reading. You SEE who is the next talking, but you DON'T repeat it to yourself, thousands of times, as it was narrated, complete with "pause" and "surprised" and other stage directions being spoken. Ridiculous! A second voice should have been used (either by an additional narrator (or more) or by a voice actor changing their voice, alternating as necessary, and PAUSING or speaking quietly or excitedly as the notes suggested. But NOT speaking the words, "Long pause,""Timidly," etc... Souls appear to be carried along busily against their will to their destinations, instead of having the option to teleport there privately with their spirit guides. Why do they need to go along specific routes when they can be in multiple places at once? Traveling in crowded areas, with some souls not being comfortable with it, would clash with their free will.

Dr. Newton is the author of three best-selling books, Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives, Destiny of Souls: New Case Studies of Life Between Lives, and Life Between Lives: Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression. Dr. Newton has an international reputation as a spiritual regressionist who mapped out much of our life between lives experience. He appeared on numerous national radio and TV talk shows to explain our immortal life in the spirit world. This book is an intimate journal about the spirit world. It provides a series of actual case histories which reveal in explicit detail what happens to us when life on Earth is over. You will be taken beyond the spiritual tunnel and enter the spirit world itself to learn what transpires for souls before they finally return to Earth in another life. Dr. Newton did not set out to regress people beyond their current earthly lives. In fact, as a skeptic by nature and one oriented towards traditional therapy, he resisted requests to do past-life regression--feeling that this was unorthodox and unethical. However, one of his clients complained of a lifetime of chronic pain on his right side, and during one of their regular sessions, the client made stabbing motions to describe the kind of pain he felt. When searching for an explanation for this client's choice of images, he uncovered that his client had a past life as a WWI solider that was killed by a bayonet in France. Through this discovery, they were able to eliminate this pain altogether. Suddenly, my client started to cry. When I directed her to tell me what was wrong, she blurted out, I miss some friends in my group and that’s why I get so lonely on Earth. I was confused and questioned her further about where this group of friends was actually located. Here, in my permanent home, she answered simply, and I’m looking at all of them right now!

Journey Of Souls

This is likely not the best review, in terms of organization of thoughts. I am reflecting not just on the book, but on some of the youtube video’s where the author, Michael Newton, discusses the book and the concepts inside. If you’re not familiar with the book, the premise is that Newton, as a hypnotherapist, was confronted with evidence of reincarnation, future lives, and lives between lives. I will also state, so you know my bias, that I favor esoteric and metaphysical belief systems in general. I believe there is an afterlife; my confidence due to personal experience would push that beyond belief, and would call it a ‘knowing.’ I am not going to expound on that here. I almost forget that the therapy can purportedly enlighten you to the meaning of life until Clare suggests that the life I'm currently living is meant to put me to the test. I found out I had cancer at the age of 20, so the prospect of facing death so early on apparently represented a challenge. However, I can't get on board with this, either; in my opinion you can crowbar any meaning into a specific set of circumstances, and it's impossible to know whether or not that explanation is accurate. At the highest state of our multi-dimensional being that I have personally experienced, (I suspect there is far more), there is a oneness in a brilliant form of all knowing, all seeing light. If this is so then the question is, why do we come here in a highly reduced state of awareness not remembering who we truly are? Going through the pain of seeing loved ones die, suffering the losses and hardships that many of us must face during our lives?

Journey of Souls is the first truly new metaphysical information to come out in years. The book is essential reading for anyone wanting to know what awaits them on the other side." Michael had been skeptical about exploring the metaphysical, in fact, he originally refused repeatedly to undertake past life regression sessions which had become popular in the 50’s and 60’s, since Morey Berstein’s classic “The Search for Bridey Murphy” was published in 1956. Little did he know at that time what life held for him… I highly recommend Journey of Souls, especially if you're searching for answers about the meaning of your life, why things happen, and what happens after death. Truly, we are never alone and are always surrounded by a supportive "great cloud of witnesses". Perhaps Simon Vance or any good voice actor. The book had one-on-one interviews with Dr. Newton and about 30 others. It would have been nice to have a different voice (whether real, by a separate person or with a simple change of tone.)Once in hypnosis, people report the pictures they see and dialogue they hear in their unconscious minds as literal observations. In response to questions, subjects cannot lie, but they may misinterpret something seen in their unconscious mind, just as we do in the conscious state. In hypnosis, people have trouble relating to anything they don’t believe is the truth. As to why souls are divided into groups: it would be a “poor system at one grade level.” But this is a world beyond our human comprehension. Who says that lower levels and higher levels cannot interact and learn from each other? Although souls may like to stay in clusters, they should be free to interact with anyone at will. After all, souls can all read each other’s minds, each lifetime and lesson is unique for them. Souls are ageless, all students and teachers at once…even the master guides and Source are always learning. When I meet her, Clare seems measured and instantly gives off an impression of warmth. Unlike in normal shrink therapy, the patient-therapist relationship in the world of PLR and LBL is remarkably open.
