Description

There is something to meet every need as a rat owner, with rat cages made from a range of different materials and in a range of styles and sizes. At Savic, they stay attuned to the needs of pet owners and their beloved companions. That's why they consistently introduce innovative products that are sure to delight both pets and their owners. They take pride in providing top-notch solutions that enhance the lives of pets around the world. The space you require can be determined by the number of rats you have and their planned living arrangements (i.e., one cage versus two or more cages). A single rat or a litter of babies need a minimum of 2 cubic feet to be able to properly move around and exercise. With two adult rats, you should increase the space of the cage by 2 cubic feet for a minimum of 4 cubic feet, though it’s suggested that the cage be larger to help prevent the risk of fighting. If you add a third rat to your family, the size recommendations jump to 8 cubic feet to ensure that each pet has its own space for rest, food, exercise, and play. Levels We are an Italian Family Company succeeding in the difficult world of globalisation. We use high quality materials. We follow every step of the production cycle, from the idea to its realization. We invest in Research and Innovation to offer our customers the most advanced solutions for a full, gratifying and responsible relationship between you and your pet.

Also suitable for chinchillas, the habitat is made of painted metal mesh with a containing bottom in thermoplastic resin, is equipped with doors that can be opened from the outside, also equipped with a safety closure system. For many people, a rat cage may be just that: a rat cage. But for conscientious rodent owners, a rat cage is so much more—it’s a safe space, a home, and a miniature gym. Before choosing a rat cage for your family pet, take a few minutes to educate yourself on what it takes to create a pet-friendly home. Material If portability is your goal, then you should look for a cage that’s designed to be small enough to take with you. It should also have built-in handles so that you can grip the cage securely. Portable cages, though convenient, shouldn’t be used as permanent homes for your rats, as they’re not large enough to provide a comfortable living space.

Metal or wood: we have rat cages in several materials, including natural wooden cages with seesaws and dens! One level rat cages must have a large layout to ensure that your rats have the space they need to get the appropriate amount of exercise. One-level cages are best for new litters of baby rats, as they’re too small to use ramps or elevated platforms.

Rat cages can be constructed from a number of different materials, including but not limited to metal wire, plastic, and wood. Given that your rat will be living, eating, and drinking inside the cage, consider opting for a material that’s odor resistant and strong enough to withstand damage—just in case your furry companion decides to gnaw on the cage. Wheels: some of our larger rat cages are on rollers, which make them particularly easy to move around and are perfect for providing your rat with lots of exciting environments! Here at zooplus we offer a great range of high quality rat cages, which are a vital part of owning one of these fun little pets. A good, sturdy rat cage can help to keep your rat feeling safe and protected, and a well-equipped rat cage can ensure your rat is entertained throughout the day! Please note: It is essential that rabbits and guinea pigs have enough space for freedom of movement - a hutch alone is not enough. Please be sure to follow the guidelines set out by Rabbit Welfare Association, PDSA and RSPCA regarding recommended living areas for small pets. As well as a suitable hutch or cage, your pet also needs a separate, secured run to give them a safe space to exercise. Please take a look at our range of runs here. zooplus recommends that all outdoor rabbit hutches are positioned in a sheltered location, protected from potential predators and shaded on sunny days. A rat or rodent, like any other pet, is a beloved part of your family that you want to keep safe from household threats while you’re away. Finding the right rat cage will help ensure that your pets are safely contained and entertained, as you can add as many fun features, like climbing rope bridges, swings, cushioned bedding, and interconnected tubes, as you’d like.
