THE KRAESHIANSjoin the fray.AshurandAmara, the royal siblings from the vast kingdom across the Silver Sea, prove to be just as ruthless as they are charming as they manipulate their way to victory. The battle is ferocious. Hundreds perish. Magnus is gravely injured but healed with the Earth Magic his sister Lucia possesses. It is also with Lucia’s precious magic that the forces are able to blast through the enchanted gates of Auranos and seize the castle. The death of a peasant in the hands of a royal triggered the events that altered the course of three nations.Through war, death, betrayals and hatred our 4 heroes have to find out who they really are and what they are going to do with that knowledge. In the end,it all comes down to the four crystals that wield unlimited power that can corrupt anyone, and the difficult journey to find them. What remains unanswered is who deserves them the most. Let me start by saying it's really hard for me to review books i love, there is so much i want to say.

After a beginning I wasn't too sure about, Falling Kingdoms surprisingly became an extremely enjoyable - if somewhat unoriginal - story. Rhodes' world was a fascinating and exciting place that I am eager to explore more of in the sequel, her characters were complex individuals often torn between political and moral duty, and the tensions between the lands of this world (Limeros, Paelsia and Auranos) were highly convincing. My final opinion of this novel is such a turnaround from my first impressions that varied from indifference to a little disgust at Magnus' not-so-brotherly love for his younger sister (but more about that in a bit). Morgan Rhodes (9 December 2014). Gathering Darkness: A Falling Kingdoms Novel. Penguin Young Readers Group. ISBN 978-1-101-62320-6. Elemental Powers: Elementia, or the magic that gives the world life, comes in four forms: fire, air, water, and earth. Witches can usually use only one or two of these, while sorceresses like Lucia can use all four.Rhodes, Morgan (2014). Rebel spring. New York. ISBN 978-1-59514-592-5. OCLC 861069093. {{ cite book}}: CS1 maint: location missing publisher ( link) So I guess with all that in mind, Id say that Rebel Spring is very clearly the second book in a series. It wasnt bad, but it was mostly just moving a few pieces around the board to lead up to something bigger. I am disappointed that I didnt like the book more. It wasnt bad, but I was missing that passion and excitement that I felt during the first book.

An epic clash between gods and mortals threatens to tear Mytica apart . . . and prove that not even the purest of love stands a chance against the strongest of magic. So you are probably confused, and trust me, i can see why. Let me clarify things for you, because i was really baffled at times in the beginning myself.I really wanted to like this, but I can't remember the last time I've come across a mainstream and acclaimed book that was quite so poorly written. We've got to talk about some things fam. Love, vengeance, and greed spark a deadly quest for magic in the third book of the Falling Kingdoms series. Sorceress: Lucia, adopted at birth into the royal family, discovers the truth about her past—and the supernatural legacy she is destined to wield. I've never been so undecided about love interests in a book. Usually I read some interaction between two characters and latch on, unyieldingly. In the first book I had a clear OTP (one true pair) that continued into the second but everyone seems to kiss everyone at some point and Morgan constantly makes you question where the characters' hearts lie. So by the end of the third book, I don't know where my heart lies, or the heart of the characters. THE REBELSforge ahead.Princess Cleoslays with sweetness—and a secret that might control Lucia’s magic—as she and vengefulJonaslead the hunt for the all-powerful Kindred. A lot of Gaius’s hate for Cleo makes much more sense once you learn he was in love with her mother, who died delivering Cleo and whom Cleo strongly resembles.JONAS watches at the palace gates, a troop of rebels behind him, waiting for him to tell them how he plans to overtake King Gaius.
