This guy lived life to the fullest, and if he was around today would be some kind of Instagram influencer which he personally would of hatted. Dubbed the Hugh Hefner of Ibiza, Tony Pikes created a celebrity paradise, which was visited by the likes of Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Kylie Minogue, Julio Iglesias, and more. But in truth it turned out to be an honest to God account of a remarkable place and a remarkable life lived to its full extent .

The narration of this story is great, and the stories about the rich and famous especially Grace Jones and Kenny Everett’s are shocking and entertaining. ciò, yu se un bel personaggio, se queo che faceva i drink nel video de club tropicana, un gran simpaticon ma el iera anche un fio de na bona donna, el gaveva sempre voia de ciavar e tutte quee che ghe capitava a tiro le impeniva senza pietà ma ancha i omeni che non pensè. Despite being written in a somewhat clunky, basic way, and being peppered with crude references told in Tony’s own words, this book is endlessly intriguing.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. I thought the guy was interesting, and wanted to hear the stories about Freddie Mercury and other famous rock stars I listened to growing up. Mr The Story Behind The Ibiza Legend presents a raw, unfiltered look at a success story unlike any other. Many people will regard his exploits as depraved , but in truth they would also envy his lifetime of experiences. Whether or not you approve of his womanising, drug taking, and wheeler-dealer lifestyle, there’s no denying Ibiza legend Tony Pike lived his 85 years to the full.

Just stories of how many women wanted him, how much dirty money he made, cheating on his wife, dodgy deals, meeting George Michael. This resulted in seeing his little finca go ballistic when it was used as the backdrop for Wham’s 'Club Tropicana' video and became the blueprint for the boutique hotel explosion that Studio 54’s Ian Schrager gets the credit for. I’ve always been fascinated about Pikes hotel having heard a lot about it during the times I’ve raved it up on the white isle but never thought to visit myself as I imagined it was strictly a place for VIPs, and I am most definitely a person who Tony would consider a ‘pleb’ hahaaa. It is at this point in which he decides that the white island is where he wants to settle down and set about building his very own private paradise, much of it with his own hands and sweat. I have to say ,when I started reading this book ,I thought it was going to descend into the mire of vulgarity. A book was recently released discussing the life and times of one of Ibiza's most prolific figures, a worthy tale not often told. Jetsetting is ok if you’ve got lots of money, or a residual income, but if you’ve just got a lump sum, like I usually had when I set off, and nothing else coming in on a regular basis, then the cash runs out fast. To me Tony Pike comes across as a warm individual with a lot of love to give ,to both men and women of the world, and although I was in Ibiza my one big regret is that I didnt visit Pikes .
