It comes in a lovely presentation box which includes an instruction manual, explaining the meanings of the cards. The idea for a deck focused on herbs came to me while I was creating the Gaian Tarot, my first deck. A warm breeze pushes eucalyptus leaves across the books, and the large eucalyptus tree shudders with delight. I also have a post on my blog, “Seven Ways to Get to Know the Herbcrafter’s Tarot,” which is helpful. Then there are the plants on each card which makes these bits of paper and the characters and spirits which inhabit them that much more alive.

There’s nothing wrong with that, we just wanted to do something different and perhaps a bit more complex. I’ve also said that you should not assume that your own take on the card is wrong, if it’s different from what is written in the book. A revelation is at hand; seek the truth in spiritual teachings; the most potent wisdom emerges from the heart.I attended a Gaian Soul Retreat last year where the Herbcrafter’s Tarot was featured and got to meet both Joanna and Latisha.

Drawing inspiration from the shared Celtic heritage of the authors as well as from Latisha’s Mexican-American heritage, The Herbcrafter’s Tarot is a sister deck in many ways to The Gaian Tarot. I've also written a whole post on incorporating tarot into your healing practice and if you're wanting to learn about the intersections of herbal medicine and the tarot, I explore that in-depth in The Tarot Apothecary . but to get the full benefits from the cards you would need to know your herbs 🌿 so will take time to study with. And speaking of favorites - The Star card is one of the images from the tarot that I love the most and The Star in The Future Ancestor Tarot is so beautiful that it makes my heart break open just a little wider every time I see it. This deck and book set explore the relationship between herbs and how people use them for medicine, creativity, ritual, and spiritual guidance. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. You possess the qualities and powers of a Healer through your open heart and your incredible gift for comforting others. Then there are suggested tarot spreads and ways to work with the cards, along with different methods of preparing herb elixirs, giving you instructions on how to make cordials, flower essences, honeys, incense, oils, salves, scrubs, infusions, and so much more.

I don’t think it’s a beginners deck in the traditional style of reading but is a wonder first intuitive deck, so if you already have a good idea of what the traditional tarot meanings are but are looking for a deck full of imagery and depth and can be read from the images on the cards this is wonderful. Bay is planted for Yule, parsley for Candlemas, violet for Ostara, chives for Beltane, lemon verbena for Summer Solstice, basil for Lammas, sage for Autumn Equinox, and onion for Hallows. Hmm, if I’m being honest, I feel neutral about this particular card back design, and I think it’s because the deck art is so extraordinary that the card back pales in comparison.

Unaweza kukuwa umetebea utafuta usaidizi Na ujawai kufanyikiwa Niko hapa kukusaidi kwa shida mbalimbali kama vile . I've also tried to include a mix of mass market and indie decks, being mindful of the varying budgets of my readers who might be interested in picking up a plant-centered deck of their own.

The deck celebrates the mixed heritage of the designers (Celtic and Mexican-American), including renaming the court cards with Spanish names and with the landscapes that appear throughout the deck. I looked for quite a while for a deck of tarot cards with a tie to plant magic and nature – and I’m so glad this is the one I went with. Joanna lives on the edge of the woods and village near the shores of the Salish Sea in Washington state. OK, so today’s card came from four cards I pulled that I thought offered a unique balance of land, sea, and sky cards with the Moon card, which encourages us to tap into our intuition and face the unknown. The deck was created during 2020 and carries an energy of making space for and exploring grief, as well as what it means to connect with our beloved living ones when they have traveled to the land of the ancestors, and what our own ancestral becoming looks like while we're still living. It even has a ribbon attached on the inside for easily lifting the deck out of the box that works wonderfully.
