One observation: my hypothesis I stated in a my previous experiments about surface reflectiveness affecting the size of elephant foot seem to be correct – with the shiny, nearly mirror-like surface I get much larger elephant foot. This makes it easier to remove prints without possibly causing the build plate to become un-leveled.

One disclaimer – I didn’t was the prints properly, so there is some excess resin (and yeah, I am aware of not having gloves, but small quantities of resin for short period of time does not trigger a reaction for me). Updated 3/15 I uploaded the version 2 for left hand to leave me room calibrate the plate w/ the m6 Level Adjustable Handle. I also replaced their logo with the Elegoo "e" on the front of the build plate as I think it fits better with the machine's design.Please clean up your build plate with alcohol to make sure there is no any resin or dust left on the surface.

I did initially have non-adhesion issues but soon realized it was that semi-gloss finish that was the problem and sanded it lightly (just enough to break the glaze) with a random orbit sander and a 320 disc.This is a shortened version of other build plate knobs to allow a 170mm z axis height on the Elewgoo Mars and Mars Pro. I had the problem with this design, that whenever i hung up the Buildplate the whole contrption would tip forward, thus creating a huge mess.

Have not had any adhesion issues (over- or under-) since them (nearly a year now)--other than when using that god-awful water based crap. I sanded both sides of the magnetic plate and then cleaned with IPA and levelled and all has been good for months. Despite following the guidelines to the letter and adapting the hight of the build plate to accommodate the magnetic plate, there was absolutely no adhesion to this flexible plate.
