I have the overwhelming urge to pull her up out of her chair and kiss her in front of everyone, then scream my resignation at the top of my lungs. I admire Colleen Hoover for creating such adorable and lovable characters who will always have a special place in my heart and on my bookshelf. The angels are singing, the trumpets are playing, and the fairytale princesses are abandoning their castles to head towards Will Cooper! We got to see some of what Will went through before he met Lake, how he fell in love with her, and much to my ecstatic surprise, a look into their future. This Girl reminded me of watching bonus materials on DVD of my favourite movie - you know what is about to happen, you know how it is going to end but you just cannot get enough and you want more, you want deeper insight into the story and characters.

Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache.I loved getting to see Will's side of things, of his struggle to maintain his integrity while his heart was telling him to do otherwise. We were going to discuss the contents of this book but scrapped that idea because…well, it’s Colleen Hoover so you know it’s well written.

I'm going to forget that ever went through this lovely boy's head because, seriously why are you asking me to hate you, Will? My 6-star book list is reserved for those few books that, from start to finish, go above and beyond. Even as I look at these beautiful quotes from this book, it brings out emotions which no book has ever brought out for me. Most of you already know Will and Layken and all the other characters from the Slammed Series (if you don’t then pick this series up now! First off, we’re not going to refer to This Girl as “Slammed from Will’s POV” because for us that is too simple a term for how wonderful and beautiful this book was.I already LOVED him in Slammed and Point of Retreat, but reading all of the events from his point of view made me love him even more. As Will told the story again, I realized how bad their story actually is, hence why I'm 99% if I reread Slammed, I'd hate it too.

I loved the first chapter but after that, it was endless, lengthy soliloquies of Will's overwhelming love and raging desire over Lake (though I guess this is keeping up with his character, since he is a poet).Okay, so maybe objectophilia is a bit of an overkill, but it is completely safe to say that I have developed an intense fixation, a "pronounced emotional desire and strong feelings of love" for this amazing series. She managed to take a story that we love and retell it from the hero’s POV while still making every single word of it feel new, fresh and powerful.
