Which brings me to yet another of my eccentricities: most of my 1970's-to-present-time home video collection is focused around re-creating the way I experienced all this filmed entertainment back in my faded youth. Use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to agree or disagree that the title is similar to Battlestar Galactica. I really hope they bring the Buck Rogers theatrical film to UHD also, and by all means, please bring us the entire series of both shows. There’s also additional footage that makes more explicit and obvious the Galactica crew’s plot to fool the Cylons on Carillon, and the sex scene between Starbuck and Cassiopeia is also edited for TV to remove obvious nudity in the theatrical cut.

The Galactica was a military ship and it looked the part both inside and out, and all the models had that very detailed military look. To sign the resulting treaty, the Twelve Colonies send their entire fleet of battlestars—great space-based warships that carry squadrons of Viper fighter craft—to meet the Cylons. But nudity was absolutely off-limits for the networks, with maybe some extremely rare exceptions where somebody tried to push the envelope. Far away in deep space, the Twelve Colonies of Mankind have been at war with the robotic Cylons for many generations.Stuck in a difficult situation, Larson turned to an established Universal Television contract director named Alan J. boosted well above the now-antiquated Blu-ray for image stability, natural format sharpness, and overall clarity. For the 45th Anniversary and 4K release of this iconic sci-fi series, got to say, this steelbook looks a little underwhelming. Once again, clothing, jewellery, the odd scantily clad girl on display, all looked absolutely terrific. UHF channels obviously wanted to air things the major networks and local channels couldn't to attract viewers.

It seems for Galactica, most of the effects money was used for the two-parter episodes, of which they made up almost half the series. I hope that's true, and whether we get it on disc or not may very well rest on how well this disc sells. And they all know this is probably the last time they will ever get to cash in on a physical media release. theatrical release framing in mind) using Panavision R200 and Arriflex 35 IIA cameras with Panavision Super Speed MKII spherical lenses. But the real improvement here is the color palette, which has always seemed limited on DVD but now looks much bolder and more richly saturated. One time I saw From Beyond aired on both 25 and 64, a couple days apart, and one channel allowed more to get through than the other channel. How they were able to get away with it I'm not sure, but at some point it started to get dialed back until eventually it no longer happened. Galactica continued that visual style with new effects advancements, and Buck Rogers added some razzle-dazzle and color to the mix.
