I started with this book a few weeks ago and gave up on it before it was half way cause I just could not find a reason to continue! But their opponents are elusive, capable, and increasingly lethal; worst of all, it seems that the park bombing may just have been the opening salvo in their plan. Then, just as the prime minister’s motorcade leaves, a bomb explodes in the park, and in the chaotic aftermath Stone is given an urgent assignment: find those responsible. I was horrified when I found out that this was the 5th book and the current last one, and that it was also published in 2010 meaning that there is pretty much a 0% chance that I’ll get more Mary.

While everyone is running to the right the masterminds are veering to the left and keeping everyone off balance including all the alphabet agencies in Washington, DC. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Hell's Corner in the fifth and final book in The Camel Club Series by David Baldacci, first published in November of 2010. Someone needs to give David Baldacci a copy of The Winner and remind him that he used to be able to generate a unique and interesting plot. John Carr, aka Oliver Stone - once the most skilled assassin his country ever had - stands in Lafayette Park in front of the White House, perhaps for the last time. Liberty Hardy is a Book Riot senior contributing editor, co-host of All the Books, a Book of the Month judge, and above all else, a ravenous reader.

I do not like novels that are predictable and Hell's Corner kept me guessing throughout the entire book. Enter British MI-6 operative Marry Chapman as Carr/Stone's partner in investigating the bombing attempt on the PM.Right before Oliver Stone is shipped out on a mission, a bomb goes off in the Lafayette Park in Washington D. John Carr, aka Oliver Stone-once the most skilled assassin his country ever had-stands in Lafayette Park in front of the White House, perhaps for the last time.

It keeps with his occupation—would you expect a guy trying to secretly uncover dangerous plots to use his real name?Stone copes with nanobot technology, fear of biological weapons, a Turkish professor supposedly on the trail of Osama bin Laden and a beautiful lobbyist who is interested in more that peddling influence. It has great dialogue, great narration and some pretty interesting action sequences – all aspects of a Baldacci novel that will keep you turning the pages. Your payment method will be charged immediately, and the product is expected to ship on or around October 1, 2005. Stone wants the nightmare to stop but for every decision he makes that draws a resolution to the case another one shows up to prove to him the last one was way off base and leads blow away with the wind.

What spoilt it was Orla Cassidy’s hilarious English accents, and there were many, rivalling DvD in Mary Poppins.

If you want a lot of pointeless action and don't care about the plot or the characters, you will probably like it.
