A história é muito bem escrita e desenvolvida, vem com belas lições, como nunca pare de sonhar e seus sonhos podem se realizar. I thought the scene was rather funny and the way that they portrayed it with the doll was good as well. Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of The Midnight Gang courtesy of Harper Collins Children’s Books through the BritMums Book Club. Tom wonders why he never hears from his parents, and now being a patient at the Lord Funt Hospital, why haven't they inquired about his accident and injury?

The Midnight Gang tells an extraordinarily heartwarming and, of course, funny story of five children on a hospital ward - and on a quest for adventure! Our Adult Fiction Books, Range includes Classics Novels, Comic Books, Crime, Thriller, Mystery Novels, General Fiction, Horror, Romance, Science Fiction and War. A much-used word, karma is loosely understood as a system of checks and balances in our lives, of good actions and bad deeds, of good thoughts and bad intentions. The Midnight Gang follows a young boy named Tom after he's admitted to hospital following a cricket accident. Worse, there’s a horrible kid-hating Matron watching over them and making sure they don’t have any fun at all – not that there is much fun to be had in hospital (or so you would think). But, the beautiful things that David Walliams teaches you through the course of this book is the best!

For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more than he can cope with. My favourite scene was when Nelly, the old lady in the hospital, took the balloons and went flying up above the streets of London. Walliams is well known for his comedy and it goes without saying that his books are filled with clever humour. When Tom gets hit on the head by a cricket ball, he finds himself at Lord Funt Hospital, and is greeted by a terrifying looking porter. As Emily pointed out, a book aimed at 9-11 year olds, is best reviewed by someone who falls into that age bracket…and as luck would have it, she’s ten.
