So, although a worthy addition to the collection, I reckon the s/s one will remain the Crusader of choice for many years to come. I have the standard one BCB steel mug and it works very well but carrying it on the belt sometimes it is heavy so the new lighter version would be welcome. We have these available in standard stainless steel finish or with a black PTFE coating (making it easier to clean). No refunds or exchanges will be made for incomplete, damaged or unsealed goods, including damage to original packaging.

Have to say I still like the stainless steel version, tried both for at least 6 months and like the mark 1 for having a lip to drink safely not to hot and the stainless steel to me at least is easy to clean with any material and therefore a little more hygienic. Also, I’m always looking for weight savings or performance improvements from my core wilderness and outdoor living kit. I'm very pleased with Woodlore for sending this in a timely manner and packing my shipment with care. The Crusader Mug is a great piece of field kit, it allows you to cook in your mug negating the need for separate mess tins and means you can make and drink your brew from start to finish without any other pots and pans. This mug may not be the lightest but it is strong and reliable, Built for military use and nests on top of the NATO osprey water bottle.

Definitely lighter than anything I see on the hiking market (except for cottage industry), but I am still skeptical of the BPA linings used in those cans.I’d put the mark 2 on the bottom of the Osprey bottle, and the mark 1 on the top in place of the NATO/Osprey plastic cup! Been considering downsizing to about 475 mL mug instead of 900 mL though since the Evernew is good enough for soups and cooking meals for two. Does the mug fit over the old US american 1 quart / 1 liter plastic bottle and the Nagelne in military form too? A small slot provides efficient air intake whilst the walls of the cooker provide shielding against the wind.

I have a ‘heavy cover’ stainless lid which I bought for my Mk1 mug, and it fits the crusader Mk 2 well. The volume graduation marks are stamped in and won't wear away like like the etched markers on other cups. Due to the larger surface area from the redesigned base of the MK2, cooking is more efficient, meaning you can cook your meals much faster on the Crusader Cooker Mk 2. This high temperature plastic lid fits snuggly on the Crusader Cup, aiding quicker cooking and therefore saving fuel. Rest of the World, we have availability with all the major carriers and each is nominated dependant on the best service for the receivers destination.Constructed from high grade stainless steel, it can be placed over direct heat such as a hexi burner, camping stove or open fire to warm the contents without the need to use separate mess tins, pots or kettles. The mark 1 isn’t as snug as the NATO cup, but I used to pad it out with cuppa soup or coffee sachets. Thanks for the info, I’ve also used the stainless mug for years but would consider the upgrade the next time i’m looking at a longer trip and want to save weight. Big enough for large boil-in-the-bag pouches or for a brew up, the new larger Crusader Cup will still fit an issue 58 pattern waterbottle and can be packed comfortably into a PLCE or Osprey waterbottle or utility webbing pouch. This high quality cooking utensil is made from aluminium with a hard anodised finish which is non-reflective, non-stick and easy to clean.
