Description

At first I had mixed feelings but after repeat readings, and seeing how intently he listens to it, I've kind of fallen in love with this book.

Inspired by true stories of a little girl who was rescued from exploitation with her teddy bear and a coffee roasting business that empowers survivors of exploitation. Emanating a wonderful sense of security, comfort and the closeness of family this is a charming story for Fathers Day. Ideal for pre-schoolers and perfect for reading together, this book is sure to become a family favourite. They haven't reached for it too much themselves, but do enjoy it when we read it and like to point out the bears. Sure enough, Little Bear slips but with Dad’s help they reach the river in the end and have a lovely time.Hughes’ detailed pencil illustrations show incredible texture, from the sweeping strokes of the bears’ fur to the gnarled trees and brushy forest. The little ones in my family so loved SeanTaylor's earlier book about the owl who is a master of disguise, I bought this as soon as I could. The report confirmed a vital need for the book and made several recommendations about creating additional resources to enhance the impact of ‘Brave’. With over 25 years of experience, we are a fully integrated agency specializing in bespoke marketing, design, and advertising packages tailored to suit your business’ unique needs.

Emily Hughes’ illustrations convey the baking heat and the detail of the landscape with the loving relationship of parent and child at the centre of it. There’s something about the story that doesn’t quite appeal in the same way as other books do, though. Told from the perspective of Little Bear and capturing his determination to be big and brave just like his dad, the youngest of readers will rejoice in the gorgeous characterization, the warmth of the storytelling and the deliciously detailed artwork of illustration star, Emily Hughes.I have worked with them on nearly 6 projects and they provide a great deal of support and insight to get what you need done. Brave Bear Trust works to educate and inform children (especially Key Stage 2) about the risks of exploitation and how to protect themselves and others.
