The selling point for me was the unseen photographs that Cook discovered, and those I was remained intrigued by—though I must warn whoever decides to read this that there is a very disturbing photograph present of one of the victims of this case, Lesley Ann Downey, taken moments before her death. Cook's new release changes that - making unseen photographs, letters and accounts public for the first time. An interesting attempt to cover these notorious crimes, the author creates a part fictionalised account of the perpetrators motives and madness.

Cook, The Moors Murderers' gives readers a rare and fascinating look into the lives of Ian Brady and Myra Hindley - often known as the evillest couple in British history. Aside from that, there is so much detailed information in this book and it makes for both horrifying but fascinating reading. Mr Cooks book packed as it is with court transcripts, police interviews, parole service documents, psychiatric reports and more paints a picture of a woman who knew exactly what she was doing.Emlyn Williams wrote two memoirs, "George, An Early Autobiography" (1961), and "'Emlyn: An Early Autography, 1927-1935" (1974), as well as a 1967 non-fiction account of the Moors Murders entitled "Beyond Belief. John Williams's Into the Badlands opened up the world of American crime fiction for me and a generation. The book ends rather abruptly with a very quick summary of the trial, but the author is planning a second book to explore the story of the trial as well as the subsequent lives of the killers.

Whilst this is a harrowing and upsetting story about two deranged individuals the story from a true crime perspective is fascinating. How could she stay together with him and participate in these crimes with him, when he's done such awful things to her? We all think we know all there is to know about this disgusting pair, and yet so many of us are still so intrigued to work out how people can behave like this. In all five murders can be tracked to the couple although police feel that there were more than that. This led to him being an almost daily victim of assaults by both locals and members of the victims’ families. Despite not being in the generatio Although it is sickening to read about the crimes, torture and abuse which must have been terrifying for the victim. The tribal Williams also nurtured the young Welshman Richard Burton, whom he directed in his first lead film role in 'The Last Days of Dolwyn' (1949). I have always been fascinated by this couple I think more because I just would love to understand how people like this exist in our society.

The second book published in this series carries on from where The Moors Murderers' left off and continues the horrific story of the crimes perpetrated by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley and tells of what happened at their trial in 1966.This accurately and succinctly, yet never drily or without emotion, delivered the harrowing life stories of Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. Overall, I really did enjoy this book, as you can see a bit more in how these two developed, not only as people but in their relationships. the sexual assault and murder of five children by a young couple named Ian Brady and Myra Hindley who buried their victims on the moors.
