Oh and by the way, I’ve always been told 3 months for longevity of mascara too, that’s pretty neat that this one is longer! I think the slightly tacky formula of Roller Lash definitely helps it in curling your lashes, which the formula of They’re Real takes longer to dry and so gives you time to completely separate your lashes. I wore this for about 11 hours and it showed no sign of fading or rubbing off so it is definitely long wearing. The eye-opening Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls…while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours. I’m afraid this is where we part ways though, because the curl is nowhere near as pronounced and pretty as when my trusty Shu Uemura curlers have been let loose on my lashes.

The mascara also has a ‘wand wiper’ built in which is meant to ensure that the brush doesn’t have too much product so that the eyelashes can be separated easily.

The mascara lasted well throughout the day and I didn't experience any flaking at all, I found with the Benefit They're Real mascara that I had a lot of little bits of black under my lower lash line where the mascara flaked, that said I really don't like they're real at all, but that's a whole other blog post. The brush does the lifting and curling and then the 12 hour curve-setting formula does exactly that, sets those curled lashes in place for 12 hours. Maybe Benefit did something different in their mascara that makes it last longer (or maybe I’m just misinformed)…. Fab post sweetie, I actually prefer the look of the Maybelline mascara on your eyes :) I really want to pick the Maybelline was up but having to wait until I use one up first - one in one out scheme as I have too many hehe. The Benefit Roller Lash only claimed to be water resistant, although I don't even know what's that suppose to mean when it comes to mascaras. I’m still on the fence but I would probably prefer They’re Real for everyday wear, and Roller Lash for when I’m getting more done up. Even when trying samples, or once going back to the Yes, They're Real, I ANYWAYS come back to Roller Lash.A mascara inspired by hair rollers, this super-curling and lifting mascara gives a sexy, wide-eyed look. I bought this myself last week on the day it launched (the thirst is real, yo…lol) and I knew I was going to like it when I saw the brush. Best mascara Recently switched from the classic They're Real to the Roller Lash mainly because of the extra goodness in the liquid of the mascara + brush shape. Katie, I have not seen this mascara yet- it looks very interesting and I can see that the results look fabulous on you! The brush is curved with little spikes on it, I found it easy to get into those small lashes in the corners too and it was easy to do my bottom lashes which I sometimes struggle with.

I really like the roller lash and I'd seen the Maybelline mascara on the shelf but I didn't take a close look at it, I didn't know it was a potential dupe! I’d find splodges of black on my under eyes half way through the day through transfer from my lower lashes. Though, admittedly, I have naturally longer lashes, I’m all for enhancing and dramatising that look – and this new Benefit beauty does just that! I only thought to document myself getting ready after I texted my girl Danielle to show her the bitchstick I picked out – Damned, a velvet matte pencil from NARS. I strongly recommend picking up this month’s Elle magazine to get your free sample and check it out.The item may be missing its original packaging, or the original packaging has been opened or is no longer sealed.
