Nightcrawler comes in the regular Marvel Legends box which didn’t even make it home with me because I had to open this figure up ASAP and try and streamline what I’m carrying around the show floor with me as much as possible at SDCC.

It is part of the Wendigo Build A Figure collection and includes the Left Arm to complete the Wendigo BAF which includes 7 action figures. The good news is that the tail does at least swivel at the base, allowing you to get it into a variety of places and not mess up the pose you want to stick Nightcrawler in. He’s got a strong articulation scheme with excellent ranges of motion on the joints, a generous set of accessories (including three heads—more on that in a bit), and a solid sculpt with accurate detailing and proper proportions. There’s a little slop from his fangs onto his bottom lip, and there isn’t any white paint on his lower row of teeth.Butterfly shoulders and swivel calves wouldn’t have worked because of the costume, and I’m overall very satisfied with the flexibility.

There’s a swivel in the waist, an ab-crunch hinge under the chest, and his neck is both hinged and ball jointed. Like Wolverine in the first wave, this seems like it will set the bar for a definitive Jim Lee Cyclops figure for years to come. I expected the cheerful head to be my favorite, but in actuality I think the neutral expression works well for pretty much any situation. This action figure is part of the Marvel genre within the Marvel Legends series and included in Wave 1. For the BAMF effect i just used some purple cotton ball-things i got for 97 cents in the craft section at Walmart. He’s definitely the best offering of this wave, and that’s not something I say lightly since this wave also gave us an excellent figure of mah-man, Sinister. My favorite thing about this figure is actually the fact that it comes with three—count ‘em, three—unique head sculpts!

I really enjoyed wave 1 of this line, despite the lack of accessories, but this second wave blows my mind. The most high-profile of the four is probably the first 6” Nightcrawler Legends figure since the 2019 Wendigo series. Nightcrawler fan figure with premium design, detail, and articulation for high poseability and display in Marvel collection. The articulation on this figure is aces, the proportions are spot-on, the three heads are a delight, and it just feels so good to see a 6” Nightcrawler on shelves again. I will probably put him in with Excalibur since that’s where he was when I was reading comics, but all I have is a Captain Britain that must be more of a modern costume, and Kitty Pryde in her X-Men costume….

Nightcrawler is my absolute favorite X-Men character and this figure completely lives up to my admittedly lofty expectations.

This premium 6-inch-scale Nightcrawler figure is highly articulated and features an X-Men comic-inspired design, making it another worthy addition to the Marvel Legends Series. This is a character that’s never exactly set the world ablaze popularity-wise, but I hope he gains some level of notoriety thanks to the impending Disney+ show. Although he’s universally-loved and in the upper-echelon X-Men popularity with fans, we haven’t gotten an official Marvel Legends Nightcrawler figure since the Toybiz Galactus wave in 2005. Historian, Air Force Veteran, and dedicated collector of Mezco Toyz, Marvel Legends, and is obsessed with Star Wars. There’s one anomalous glob of red paint on my figure’s white right hand, so I’m going to exchange mine when I have the opportunity.

There is some excellent definition in his facial details, the bushy eyebrows look like they’re judging me a bit.
